I read through the passporter's wedding guide that Lurkyloo so fabulously provided for us adicts :rotfl: and it mentions that there is no service charge for your cake if your reception is held at GF. My reception is in the Whitehall room and when I got my first BEO it had the charge on there and the assistant I asked about it didn't know anything about there not being a service charge at GF. Has anyone else come across this?? Not complaining, just would want to know if I can save that money?? ;)

:cutie:

The distinction here is the difference between the "service charge" (which is the 21% that you have to pay on top of all food and beverage) and the "cake handling fee" which is only charged when your cake has to be transported outside the Grand Floridian.

It is explained more clearly in the body of the text - I see that the Tax & Service Charge chart says cakes have "Service charge at all but Grand Floridian venues" - which is very misleading and will be changed in the next update! :teeth:

It should say "Handling/Delivery fee at all but the Grand Floridian venues"...

Thanks for the catch!

Thank you....that makes much more sense...it had just been a while since I read through the whole book and not just spot checked my thougths....thanks for all your help though, the guide has been a lifesaver :)
