Cake Recreation

Hi everyone!

I got married in February and was unfortunately very sick the day before the wedding. Consequently, I only had a small taste of our wedding cake. We're going back in October and I was wondering if there was anywhere I could order a small cake with the same flavour (peanut butter and chocolate) and buttercream icing. Does anyone know?

Also, we got married at the Yacht Club. So if anyone knows what bakery the cake likely came from, maybe it would be worth calling them direct?

Where are you staying? I was going to mention that the GF will deliver a cake to your room if you are staying at the GF or will deliver to one of their restaurants if you are dining there. You would need to call Linda at GF Private dining and I have that number not here though- if you need it PM and I can get it for you.

You can get a cake at the YC and BC bakery but they are bigger (10in)if you want filling and I do not believe you can get the peanut butter there.

I order a cake each time we go down! I will be happy to help you out, I believe that most wedding cakes come from the GF bakery.

From what I was told, all the Wishes cakes come from the GF and the Escape cakes come from the bakery closest to the wedding location.

But I'm sure they all use the same recipe, so your cake will taste the same no matter where it comes from!

The deal with reordering cakes is that the GF will only re create one if you are staying there or dining there...

Not sure how BW operates

They will all be the same no matter what....YC and BC only do a 10 in with filling and it is yellow, marble or choc with a few fillings (milk choc, white choc ....I was not given the option of peanut butter). I think they only gave me 3 (that was last May though so i do not remember).

Just make a ressie at a GF restaurant and they will deliver it there to the restaurant that is the easiest way to accomplish it. We are staying at the GF for this trip so they are delivering it to our room, YAY! But you may be able to contact the BW....

Just an FYI, we got married at the YC Gazebo last August and we had the chocolate cake with pb filling and buttercream icing and it did come from the Boardwalk bakery. I confirmed this with my WC ahead of time. Prior to July of last year, they weren't allowing many flavors and then several of us from here started complaining and they widened the flavor options for escape brides. So.........you shouldn't have any problems getting just what you want ! When are you going and I would love to help you eat it as I didn't even get to finish my one piece of mine due to photos ! We had plenty of the marble w/white chocolate mousse left over, but none of my choco/pb. I am thinking about doing one for us when we go back this summer !

Ladies...I highly recommend getting a cake each time you go. I love disney cake so much! Our reception was at Ariel's and rather than saving my top layer for our anniversary, we ate it during our stay for our honeymoon. I hatched an evil plan that we would have to go back for our anniversary and have a recreation. They did our recreation for us, but like I mentioned my EM gave me the number as to whom I should contact. We are trying the peanut butter filling w/ choc cake this time for our trip in may for my husbands birthday cake!
