Yes, I bought one today as well and experimented. I bought a marble cake mix and it worked fine!!! They cook so quickly. I'm trying itnout to try and make cake pops for DS's graduation open house. The problem I have is, I bought the meltable choc discs and tried to dip them, although they tasted great, I don't know how to get them to look smooth/presentable. Any suggestions?
I haven't made the babycakes, but I have made a lot of oreo truffles! It takes some practice to get it to look nice. I find using 2 toothpicks works for me. I stick one into the uncoated ball (chilling or freezing them a little helps). Then dip into the chocolate. When coated, use the other toothpick to pry the coated ball off the original toothpick. I find setting them on a gridded cooling rack covered with waxed paper works best to allow them to dry. If a lot of chocolate drips off onto to wax paper puddling near the bottom of the ball, lift up the ball and move it to another spot of the waxed paper. Otherwise you will get a big rim of chocolate around the base that you can't get off easily.
