Cake or no Cake

I am trying to decide if I should get a cake for my Mom's birthday. We will be at MK for the day. We have ADR's for CP (8:15am)and for the Tea at GF (3:50). We plan to go for a nap before the Tea and will head directly back to the park. There will only be the three of us (me, DS- 3, and DM- 75). I think we would have a hard time getting through even the smallest of cakes but I feel like I might be missing an opportunity esp. since we will be at the GF and would have more than the normal cake options.

My DM has been a part of all the ADR planning except the Tea (is a birthday surprise). Would I be short changing her if I don't get a cake? Does anyone have any other nice birthday surprise idea?
