We were clueless about the cake of the day on our last 3 cruises but would like to try it on our Wonder cruise in 2 weeks. Is it a full cake, a slice of cake, cupcake? Do they have a different one everyday? I'm assuming they do, hence the name. Does anyone have any pics, @PrincessShmoo??

Sorry, only used room service once (when DH was quarantined), never ordered the cake of the day.

I believe it's different every day, depending on what they have available.

It is different each day and sometimes you can ask, Opera cake, Black Forest, we have had cup cakes. If you have seen what's on offer at Cabanas and Cove cafe it's similar.

Cake of the day is new to me.... Just goes to show what you can learn on Disboards

if you call room service they can tell you what the cake of the day is. seems to be what ever they have left over of. never actually order it as it has not been more inciting to me than a mickey bar…..:mickeybar

When we cruised in 2010, the cake of the day was quite nice, there was black forest one day, black & white cake another. It was a piece of cake usually with some kind of cream.

Fast forward to 2011, 2012 and 2014. Cake of the day was rarely what I would consider "cake". It was more of a gelatinous kind of whipped cake (like fake "cheese" cake, or mousse cake).
