ok so Tom is the baker in the family, he has a cake due thursday, its for our neighbors confirmation. I think, something like that.. anyhoo the kid wants my husband to put on the cake
" Chris, god loves you more now"


Can someone help me, he is he baker and I am the brains but I cant figure out what he should put on it, which would be similar but not exactly what this kid wants.

The customer is always right. If that's what they want ON the cake, that is what should be on the cake.

I agree to a point, it is my husbands business and I wouldnt want one cake to ruin future orders. The child is a bit obnoxious, andhis parents may not like it. I personally would be upset if I orderd a cake and it said something like that and I didnt expect it to.

When you say the kids, is it the kid who's confirmation it is? Did his parents give him permission to makethis decision. Are they paying for this or is it a favor?

I am not sure in the Catholic Faith what confirmation overall means. If it is like Baptisms in the Baptist church then I would put something like "Child of God". Not positive of the point the kids is trying to make. Just wondering if he thought he wasn't loved by God before this

I'd call the parents and "run it by them" as to what their child wants on the cake. If it's OK with them, then put it on the cake. If he's being confirmed, that makes him about 12-14 depending, so one would assume his parents still have some control over their obnoxious child...but then again, these days, maybe that's a mistake to assume that.

Other suggestions could be "God Bless Chris" or "Walking More Closely with God"

ok so the parents were nowhere to be found, so we improvised.... they just wanted something simple. Its a double layer chocolate cake, with white chocolate mousse in the middle.
