I know there's an offical cake thread but it's just a tad overwhelming, so I figured i'd ask here :)

We will be celebrating our daughters birthday when we come to Disney in May and I wanted to have a cake ordered to be delivered to one of the restaurants.
I guess my cake would be considered a "fancy" cake....I would like a giraffe cake, so fondant giraffe spots and ideally, I'd love a baby giraffe on top.

So i guess the pastry chefs would be the ones to talk to about this, is that correct?
Also which restaurants would be a good pick to have one of these delivered? (Seems like you cant get them at all of the restaurants)

And last but not least, when should I order?

Thanks so much :goodvibes

The bakeries at Grand Floridian, Boardwalk, Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Yacht & Beach club offer fancy fondant cakes. You have to give at least 48 hours notice. Have you tried calling the cake hotline?

I know that the cake thread is a bit overwhelming, but it has the information you need

The cake thread definitely has the information you need, all contained in one link on the first post.

Look at the first post, under "What kind of cake is available where?" There is a link for you to click, labeled "THIS POST has a complete listing."

Also read the entry in the first post about getting fancy/fondant cakes delivered inside theme parks (this is generally not done - resorts are the place to be)
