Imagine that. After all those postings saying that no one was gonna go, a tea room & fancy restaurant didn’t belong on the boardwalk, too limited a customer base, the pricing was outrageous & it wouldn’t survive very long.

We ate at the Cake Bake Shop for the second time, this time for breakfast. The crab cake benedict was really good. I could have done without the arugula salad. Both the Southern Style Caramel Cake and Honey Walnut Bar were excellent as well.

Next time we will ask not to be placed in the Champagne Room. It is a well-decorated room. But it is essentially a private room for large parties. There was a large table with a group of 11 mid-20s ladies who were celebrating a birthday. Then there were two two-top tables squeezed in the room as well. The ladies were not being obnoxious or anything, but since it is a smaller room with not much to dampen the sound, it was really loud in there.
