Cake Bake Shop at the BoardWalk is now open

I just looked at an e-mail from Disney Destinations and they are showing Tiffin's at the Animal Kingdom. I looked at the menu and they have a burger listed for $28, I'm thinking that the CBS isn't so out of line with other dining places at WDW. Just sayin...

I think CBS is really pretty and I'm very excited to try it, I have been waiting a long time for it to open. I will say that I do agree it would have been a good fit at GF for the afternoon tea, maybe they could just do that part of their business at the GF since they now seem to have a void in that area. I'm guessing that because they are a full service restaurant and bakery the tearoom space would not have allowed for all they offer. Whatever the reason I'm happy that they are finally open. Now they have to get something in the space that BRG occupied. Lets hope it doesn't take as long as CBS.

Is someone pranking us? The prices were crazy, then to adjust the prices to add .99 to some, but not all items is strange.. I read thru the new menu and found the changes random and odd.

but $9.99 for a hot chocolate?
$7.99 for a cup of tea in INSANE. I've bought tea from Damman Frere, it's not that expensive even when shipped from France.

To each their own— I was delighted to see Dammann Frères tea and felt it was reasonable under $10, when absolutely garbage quality tea in a disposable cup will cost you more than $5 throughout WDW. You can’t even get vending machine Dasani at beach club for less than $5.

While you can certainly make it at home for less than $8/cup, I doubt many restaurants worldwide would be selling it for much less than CBS does.

You can get it on Amazon for less than $1/teabag. It's cheaper than that if you get loose leaf and probably if you're a restaurant buying in bulk. $10 is more than enough to buy you 100 grams of the loose leaf tea.

you're right on burgers around WDW.

Sci-fi Diner is roughly $26 for a hamburger

their coffee prices are in line with most coffee shops, and it appears they have good coffee.

I also think the french toast and a few other breakfast meals look ok price wise.

As much as I think many of their meals are overpriced, Cape May is dumb for their cost for breakfast, but it's a character breakfast. Still for 2 people you're not getting out of Cape May for less than $100 as breakfast is $49 per adult and $33 per child. Yes, it's a buffet so more food options, but if the French toast at CBS is $18.99 and you add sausage $7.99 , croissant $5.99 and then a coffee $5.99 you're out $39 so you're still under the $49 adult.

They even have a normal egg breakfast that is $12.99 for two eggs, breakfast potatoes and 2 slices of bacon on the kids menu.
