Cafe Orleans F! Dining opens 8/15

So who's planning to book the new Cafe Orleans F! Dining package? According The the blog, booking begins tomorrow 8/15.

We will be in DL FROM 9/9-9/13 and I originally booked River Bell only to have it cancelled.

To me Cafe Orleans works better. Same price as RB, similar food to BB. We've been to San Angel at WDW and that's probably better food and ambiance than BB anyway.

So who else is joining in?

Yes! You read that correctly. If you’re looking to experience a “Fantasmic!” Dining Package, Cafe Orleans is the place to do it. While River Belle Terrace is under refurbishment at Disneylandpark, guests can make reservations beginning August 15 for the Cafe Orleans dining package. These packages are available September 5 – November 16. In addition to the dining packages available at Blue Bayou Restaurant and Hungry Bear Restaurant, these are delicious ways to reserve viewing for “Fantasmic!,” the classic nighttime spectacular.

Cafe Orleans “Fantasmic!” Dining Package:

• Package includes one three-course meal (starter, entrée and dessert)
• Includes a “Fantasmic!” reserved viewing area voucher
• Dining package reservations available from 11:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
• Same day reservations based on availability
• Cafe Orleans “Fantasmic!” Dining Package Pricing:
  • $45.00 – Adult
  • $25.00 – Children (ages 3-9)

Same here. I haven't seen the menu posted anywhere either, but am planning to book and cancel BB later. It will also hopefully enable me to get the time slot I want.

The way I look at it is, booking is free. So if you're on the fence, go for it. You can always cancel later.

It's up on the website, but I don't think they've loaded availability yet. Every time I try to book says that seating is unavailable at that time.

Same issue here. No times available on any date listed. It was loaded in at 6:30am EST when I got up and the same issue. My guess is that they will open PST business hours.

I'm on the fence here. I originally had wanted RBT but with that unavailable I booked HB since my kids are too young to justify BB. I'm fine with the menu at HB and like the idea of saving some money, but if I switch to Cafe Orleans it will be for the guaranteed seating. It sounds like most often HB gets to sit on the ground but it's not a for sure thing...
I can't make my mind up what i like better, the seating or the savings lol

Same issue as above, the restaurant was even loaded into the system at 2:30am Pacific time but as of yet no times have been loaded. I booked BB just in case.

Looked online and reservations phone line doesn't open until 8am PST so I'm assuming that's what time it'll open.

I was able to get it by calling. I've been checking all night and it still says no availability for my date online but the dining line booked it no problem

Same here. I was able to get the 7pm (2nd show) dining for 2 on 9/9. Nothing was available between 3-6pm for the 1st show. Got it through calling and nothing is showing up still online.

Despite a power outage at my house that disconnected me after already waiting 15 minutes on the phone, I was able to book a 6:40 second seating fantasmic package at Cafe Orleans on Oct 14, thanks everyone for letting me know to call!

We would have been so excited if this was available for us. We did RBT which was fine, but Café Orleans is our favorite. You guys are lucky!

Well, I was able to make a reservation via the phone, but am not completely sold on the situation. I'm glad Cafe Orleans is an option while we are there since we were going to eat there anyway, but 1) it would still be nice to know what the actual menu will allow us to order. I know my vegetarian daughter is hoping for the green tomato sandwich. And, 2) it would be great if they actually had some lunch and dinner time options. Apparently the times they are offering are for mid-afternoon and later in the evening. For the first showing I had options of 2:30-3:30 and for the second showing, options dinner options didn't even start until 6:30. Blech.

I was able to book over the phone... online wouldn't let me. I spoke to an awesome cast member and he read the menu to me. This is what I was able to scribble down quickly:

Starters-
1) Pommes Fries (it was hard not to exclaim: "YES!")
2) Cup of gumbo
3) Starter Salad (I'm assuming the La Salade de Maison)

Entrees-
1) Blackened Fish
2) Bourbon Street Chicken
3) Lobster Cobb Salad
4) Steak and Potatoes
5) Both Monte Cristo options

Dessert-
1) Beignets
2) Coconut Cake
3) Maleficent Dessert

I'm a vegetarian as well. I figured Café Orleans had enough options on their regular dinner menu that it would probably work for a substitute if anything. Also the veg options are usually cheaper so I'm assuming they'd have no problem serving guests that as opposed to steak/fish/etc. that a meat eating guest would clamor over.

Where is the seating though? Did they create a new section or is it the same section as RBT?
