Hey all! Trying to see if the Cabo Beach Resort excursion is worth the money. DH thinks it is too expensive so I was hoping for some reviews. Was the food okay? Do you think for a family of 4 it was worth the cost?

Thank you! :)

Arent there two different types of Cabo Beach Resort Excursions?
Am I wrong?

We just got off the Wonder yesterday 3/21. We did the Cabo Beach Resort excursion. We did it on the 2nd Cabo stop, which was 7:45-1:00. The weather was plenty warm this early in the morning, but our stay was only about 3 hours. I would recommend booking this on the Cabo stop that is in port longer. It is pricey, but has 2 nice pools, plenty of loungers, towels provided, free draft beer, lemonade and iced tea. Other drinks are not included. The lunch was actually a breakfast brunch on our date (we departed the resort at 12:30). The food was good, regular breakfast fare with a few mexican dishes thrown in. Clean bathrooms. The beach had chairs and a few umbrellas. The beach was narrow. The waves were fairly strong, lots of little waves, then a big wave. It was too much for our 6 year old, but our 9 and 11 year old had a blast riding the waves. The bank slopes rapidly from the water's edge, and gets rather deep pretty quickly. The water was clear and beautiful blue-green. We spent more time at the pool than the beach. Beautiful view of the ship and rock formations! We would do this excursion again, it was very safe and the staff tour guide was excellent in taking care of our group!

Villa del Arco Beach Resort is the name of the resort we went to. They have a website (www villadelarcocabo com)

I also just got off the Wonder on 3/20 and we did Cabo on our own. The 1st stop we took a water taxi for $3/per to the Villa del Palmar resort. We were planning on getting a day pass for the resort but they were sold out (it was spring break and super busy). We did watch the Disney Excursion arrive, so I know this is one of their excursions. It would be much cheaper to do on your own (of course you do run the risk of the day passes being sold out). The second stop was so early that we just got off the ship, ate some lunch and did some shopping.

At PV we walked over to the Crown Paradise and got a day pass for $35 for adults and $15 for kids. This included a kids pool with lots of slides (ages 4-11 loved it), chairs on the beach, all you eat buffet and any drinks. Great deal for the day. This was not a 5 star resort but a great deal for the price we paid and nice that you could walk to it. I did see tons of people do the Pirate Ship one at PV. Not sure how they liked it but it did look cool.

Thank you soo much Molarman and Azmommyx2!!!!! :thumbsup2

Wow... it looks like DCL had two different resorts on the two days at Cabo? Taking a look online, it does look like the Villa del Archo and the Villa del Palmar are sister resorts.

We are going on the Cabo Beach Resort Getaway on Easter Day on our cruise. I wonder which resort we will end up at? Anyone else have any review more reviews?

I don't know if this has already been answered for you but if not...

The three hotels are all connected. It's the Villa del Arco, Villa La Estancia, and Villa del Palmar. The Disney excursion takes you to the Villa del Palmar but I think you can use all three, at least I know you can if you are a guest there. The only complaint I would have about the excursion is the small amount of time you get there. I don't know if they offer it on the other Cabo day, but we had it booked on the short one so we were only there for 4 hours. We were pleasantly surprised with the lunch buffet, it was very good. Tacos, quesadillas, chicken, beans and rice, ect. The funny thing is that the waiter went out of his way to offer hot dogs or burgers for our kids. This also happened on our excursion in Puerto Vallarta and it made me think, "Is that all they think we eat in the U.S.?" My kids love Mexican food! Of course living in California maybe we have access to it a lot more than people in say, North Dakota.

Our Disney Excursion took us to the Villa Del Arco on March 18, 2011. They did not tell us that we could use any other resort.
