Do you have cable, dish or nothing? What do you pay?

I have DirectTV with TiVo and I couldn't be happier.

I currently have cable, tho Comcast sucks! (It's the only cable company here)...I pay $65 a month and wish I could get dish, but they want a year contract and don't offer a military clause, so it's not an option.... :(

We have cable right now. We dumped Dish Network because they updated their receivers and it wouldn't work with Tivo anymore. When we complained, they said it wasn't their fault and we should've bought their PVR in the first place. Fat chance! We called Comcast. Since then, Dish Network admitted their error and corrected the glitch, but we fired them anyway. We would've preferred Direct TV, but we didn't have the cash laying around for all the HD receivers and dishes we'd need. Maybe someday....:D

I have Digital Cable with...yes, I admit it Comcast!

We have Direct TV about $75 a month and get everything except locals and Cinamax.

Time Warner Cable -- No HBO, Cinemax or other pay channels but just about everything else. $45 a month.

I have DirecTV (and have for almost 9 years) with basic and locals and I pay $35./mo. I wouldn't get cable again if it were free.
I also have the NHL package which adds $35./mo for four months a year (usually Sep-Dec).

Digital cable with Comcast and cable modems. We pay $0 :teeth:

We plan on getting the DVR once they offer it here.

I have Directv w/locals and HBO (free for 3 months) and I pay about $42 a month after taxes here in Ohio.

I live in England and have sky plus. It is a digital service with a dish and has a feature the same as Tivo from what I can gather (we can record shows onto a hard disk, pause and rewind live TV etc.) We have the top package, all regular channels, movie and sports channels. It costs us £40 a month (I think) plus we have kept our old satalite box which costs us a further £10 a month so we can watch a different chanel on the TV upstairs if we want to. I thought an English perspective might be useful. I'm not sure how much that is in $ though.

Our Dish Network bill runs about $75 a month and that includes 3 receivers (one has PVR), HBO/Cinemax/Encore, and the local networks.

Mediacom cable here, and we pay about $75 that includes high speed internet. When we move to the new log house, we will have to do Dish or Direct for TV and will have DSL.

We have digital cable. All the premium channels. We pay $7.95/month because I work for the cable company & we just pay for the 2nd Digital box.

We have digital cable--Comcast and aren't thrilled with it. We tried to get a dish but couldn't get reception as there is a hillside right next door----blocks the dish from getting reception I guess. We pay for digital cable, but it the info part doesn't work half the time and we have had to replace the remote 3 times as it stops working for no apparent reason. We get no premium channels and pay $56 a month.

We have NOTHING
Because of the expenses, not that we can't afford it, I can not justify paying over 600 for tv. Call me a prude :snooty: or a cheapskate.
