Cable/Dish/or nothing

I have regular analog basic cable here and pays 50.00 a month with no prenium channels at all.

Digital cable--Comcast I live on the wrong side of a Naval Air Station...and have no reception on local channels at all. Even though the towers are less then 15 miles away...just live in a dead area.

We have digital cable over 200 channels plus 45 extra music channels, no we don't botter with HBO ect. Also with digital cable we have both computers going through the cable. It cost us 90.00 a month.

We had cable for a while. The "digital" picture was awful - kept getting interferrence bars on the screen. We switched to DirecTV with TiVO about a year ago and I don't think I'll ever go back. Plus, customer service is SOOOOOOO much better!

Dish: DirectTV with the Starz/Encore package

We have Dish Network. DH went out and bought the PVR receiver that has the picture in picture. Don't know how much we pay, but we have the Top 150 package and no movie channels. We love it!

We use to have cable, Adelphia, they we awful. Worse than Comcast for customer service, etc. It is actually cheaper for us to have Dish Network and DSL, then Cable with internet from Adelphia.

We have Dish Network with the PVR (x 2) and wouldn't change for anything!! We wanted cable when we first moved into our house, but the cable company wouldn't bring the lines out here!!! We were a new development and in order to get cable they wanted us to pay many hundreds of $$ to bring the lines into our neighborhood. But yet we kept getting phone calls and postcards from the cable company offering "free hook-up"!! We wrote them several letters every time a new house was built, asking of there were enough houses yet to bring the cable into the area, but after about 3-4 years we finally gave up. I got my DH a DISH satellite system for Christmas in about 1997. Shortly after that the cable company came into our neighborhood and was practically BEGGING us to use them, but it felt good to give them a big fat raspberry!! By then most people in our neighborhood had bought satellite systems!! We do have the cable company now for our computer modem, but I would rather go without TV than give them the satisfaction of hooking us up!(Spiteful, I know) ......................P

We hated Comcast so we got DirectTV in September and really like it.

Adelphia digital cable (basic service only) with Powerlink cable modem service. For the first couple of years that we had digital cable, they didn't "turn off" the premium channels on our box. We had ALL the premium channels for the price of analog cable. Then Adelphia moved their service center to Denver and I guess that they audited my account. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.

It costs us over $90 a month for Digital Basic plus Powerlink.

And Adelphia went bankrupt charging those rates. Go figure.

We have DirecTV and Adelphia Digital Cable. We have only basic channels on cable and we only have it to have the Powerlink cable modem.

They're rates went up in Jan. and we were paying $77/month for extended basic and Starz/Encore!!! Called DirectTV and got the exact same packages with MORE CHANNELS for $15 less per month!! I couldn't be happier!!!

Now have more money to spend at WDW in May!!!!

We have Dish Network. I can't say what we pay because I can't remember. We just pay it once a year and then don't have to worry with monthly payments.

We have Adelphia - bare bones basic & it is $45/month. (It was $45/quarter 5 yrs ago)

We don't get any premium channels - not even ESPN, A&E, no music channels, no Disney - just the weather channel & QVC

DH has threatened to disconnect that - adelphia is horrid

I have DirecTV w/ local..and Adelphia(yuck)for my internet Connection only...I agree with earlier poster wouldn't go back to cable TV if it were free!
