Cabins & ME

This may be a silly q, but we've never stayed in a cabin before and have never used ME before. How does ME work at the fort. Where do they drop you off to check in? We will not have a car and we are not planning on a cart. We are walkers and don't think it will be a big deal walking from the cabin to the buses.

We are sch. to arrive at MCO at 10am. If we arrive at the fort before our cabin is ready, will they store our carry on bags for us? We will have like 5 backpacks. When will our suitcases arrive? Will they bring it all to the cabin for us? We plan on going to MK and being there till 9 or so. I am worried when we get back to the fort the bags will be missing.

Sorry so many q's but we are new to both the fort and ME. I hope it's magical. lol.

I have never stayed in the cabins myself, however this is how I understand the way it works.

ME does it's drop off's and pick up's at the registration outpost. There you go inside where will recieve your key cards, tickets, etc. and your room asignment if it is ready. From there they will take you in a van to your cabin if you want them to.

If you arrrive early and your room is not ready they will hold your luggage and then deliver it to your room later. They will also give you your tickets, etc (but not your room number) and give you a phone number to call later to check and see if your room is ready. At that point you can go explore, eat, swim or go to the parks if you want and come back to your room later.

Yup, that's how they do it. Last year we went on to MK for the evening & our luggage was waiting in our cabin when we returned.

That's that include carry on luggage also, or just the checked baggage that ME picks for you?

You should be able to leave the checked bags too.

After you get checked in you can take a bus from the depot just by the Outpost check-in I would take the bus at first to figure out the system then walk when you want the cabins are a good walk from the Outpost check - in... enjoy your trip!
