Cabins at Ft. wildnerness, AOA suite, Saratoga springs ...HELP

I say Cabins!! We LOVED our stay at there. We went in December and used the deck everyday! I brought a few small toys to keep my (at the time) 4 and 1 year old busy while we got ready in the morning and other random time. They were able to play out there while I made breakfast or even if I was doing something in the bedroom(there's a door from both the bedroom and kitchen area.) At night my husband and I sat out there. All the cabins were decorated for Christmas is added extra magic. The privacy was great and you have lots of options and room to work with.

We also did breakfast at the cabin before the parks. It was great to have everyone fed while we were getting ready in the room, felt like a big time saver. I can't wait to book there again.

We didn't care for the internal buses. They weren't terrible, BUT did take up some extra time. We ended up getting a golf cart for the end half of our trip and will 100% do it again next time we stay there. The boat to magic kingdom was AWESOME. and very quick at park closing. Plus you're guaranteed a seat.

The other down side to us was the lack of a traditional food court like you'd get at AOA. I am glad we brought Lots of snacks, fruit and a few quick lunch/dinner options for the kids.

You guys are awesome, and thank you so much for all of your responses! I am definitely thinking of switching to the cabins, it seems so relaxing. Since we are doing 2 days at MK, I like the idea of being so much closer.

We love, love, love the cabins. It feels like an entirely different kind of vacation. They are unfortunately a bit too pricey for us as we are only three people and easily fit in much cheaper accomodations. But the atmosphere there is great and there are lots of things to do (campfire, movies, haywagon rides, pony rides etc.). Obviously, that isn't so important if you plan to spend all day at the parks but if you plan on some down-time it is great. The cabins are not ideal for the quick service dining plan as there aren't a lot of options there. It matters less for the regular plan as you probably would eat all over the place anyway.
We will have the regular dining plan, how difficult is it to refill your mugs?

If I remember that is a bit of a pain. I think there is a station at the store and maybe at the pool? The problem is that it is fairly far from the store to the room...

You might want to look at the separate forum here somewhere for camping at WDW. They have a lot of info - it has been a couple of years since we were there so not sure if anything has changed.

Anyway, the cabins are a great experience but they are fairly rustic so it is quite different from staying in a regular hotel. On the other hand you have more privacy and don't have to worry if kids get a little louder.

There is the Meadow Snack Bar by the main pool but it is only open til 5 seasonally so you may have to go to Pioneer Hall to the quick service place (called P&J’s Southern Takeout). I also recommend renting a golf cart
