I'm sure this has been discussed before, but when I searched both the Disboards and the Disney websites I couldn't find it. Does anyone have a link to what is provided in the cabin kitchens? We are staying there for the first time this summer (I am so excited!) and we will be using the kitchen for breakfasts and probably the grill for at least one dinner.

Also, between Wegoshop and GardenGrocer, is one better than the other? (we won't be buying alcohol if that matters)

Thanks so much, our trip is in July so I'm really starting to get into planning and shopping for it now

Kitchen includes:
full-size refrigerator with icemaker
electric stove
microwave
dishwasher
1 4-cup coffee maker (with 1 filter-pack of coffee)
1 10 cup coffee maker (stored in cupboard)
toaster
tea kettle
flatware for 6: forks, salad forks, teaspoons, soups spoons, knives and steak knives
dinnerware for 6: mugs, cereal bowls, dinner plates, dessert plates
6 handled mason jar glasses
1 serving spoon
1 glass measuring cup
1 2 qt. pitcher
1 2 qt. casserole with lid
1 glass baking dish
1 oval platter
manual can opener
bottle opener
corkscrew
cutting board
bread knife
ladle
spatula
1 12" skillet
1 1 qt. saucepan with lid
1 2 qt. saucepan with lid
Dutch oven with lid
metal colander
spoon rest
2 potholders
2 sponges
4 cloth dish towels
fire extinguisher (under sink)
packets of dishwasher soap
liquid dish soap
paper towels (under sink)
trash bags (under sink)

NOT INCLUDED are salt, pepper, sugar (or sweetener), coffee, coffee filters, or small drinking glasses for the bathroom.

I alway get my food from Walmart so I'm no help.

Thank-you! It looks like they've covered all the basics :thumbsup2

I think one more skillet would be nice!
They will also clean your dishes if you forget to do them.

the only think I remember wishing I had was a cookie sheet -- to do baked fries, cinnamon rolls, etc. other than that, we had everything we need and then some!

We have used garden grocer a number of times and have been really happy with it

if planning to cook eggs for breakfast, i would bring a nonstick skillet with me. had a hard time cleaning their's after cooking scrambled eggs. the skillet was not nonstick.

Hello! We will be staying at a cabin in November!

How did you like it?

Can you tell me how gardengrocer works?

THANK YOU!!!

chandlersagirl, we have stayed at the cabins twice and we will be going for our third time this July. I love the cabins and so does my family now.
I enjoy that we have two tv's and 2 rooms for sleeping.
I enjoy camping in a tent and I have with my grandchildren but never with my husband as he will not camp in a tent. He wants his bed, air and tv. lol
So he gets what he want in the cabin and I get to feel like I'm camping.

We have stayed at the cabins countless times.
Veraletta has it down pat as to what is included.
As for Garden Grocer we have used them I believe 5 times, always with no problems till this year. We had bagels that had fruitflys in them and a head of lettuce that was downright rotten.
Considering we have used them 5 years and always get a large order I would say thats a good percentage.
In the future we will use them again but I believe we will stop at a local store before getting to the campground and pick up perishables then.
Also Garden Grocer came out the very next day and replaced them with no questions asked. So I would say that there is no reason not to use them; accidents do happen. Have Fun!

That sounds like pretty good service.

Madge, that's a good point about the cookie sheet, I think I probably will need to bring one with me. I'm not sure about the skillet yet, but I'll make a note of it in case we decide on eggs.

Just and FYI, but house keeping does the dishes for you. Although, sometimes, this means they just put the dishes in the dishwasher and start it.

mrsbornkuntry- We are going to be at the cabins in July too.
July 25th - Aug 3rd can't wait.

I understand that the FW cabins come with things like paper towels and coffee filters. Do you just get one on check in day or does mousekeeping refill them as you use them?

Thank you in advance.
