Hi! I'm new here. I just got back from FW last week. I took 6 kids down by myself (hubby couldn't get away from work). We stayed in a cabin and had a blast! We got lucky and got a cabin on 3-weeks notice. I'm trying to talk hubby into a repeat trip this December. Due to frequent flyer mile stuff (the only way we can afford to go with a family of 7 from Alaska) I can't book our flights yet. Does anyone know if the cabins fill up early for the end of November/early December? Can I book a reservation without having to pay anything?

You shouldnt have a problem booking at the last minute, unless you wish to be there Thanks. wknd. Keep in mind there is a 5 day cxl policy so you can always check for cancellations. As for the deposit they require one night paid otherwise they will cancel the resv on the specifed deadline.

From what I've seen in Passporter and Unofficial Guide, that is one of the least busiest times of year to visit. Which is exactly why we checked in the Saturday after Thanksgiving last year. You should have no problem reserving a cabin. Have fun!! :sunny:
