We go to the Redneck Disneyland in Wheeling, WV once in a while. Thank you for putting it all in a new light for me.

Wow...I would have to say that takes the cake for funniest post ever!! I lived in Mitchell, SD for awhile and we got a Cabela's there. It was the talk of the state!! We moved back to Chicago and they opened one in Hammond, IN. Now, I must say, there are not many hunting/fishing areas in Chicago/NW Indiana! Have a great day!!

Thanks for sharing that was great. Some if the pictures actually reminded me of what we saw in Hayward Wisconsin a couple of years ago. Love that area, so beautiful there. Much better than the flat lands of Illinois.

Cabella's just opened about 30 mins from here, we finally got to go last week.

OMGGGGGGG... I still have a rash, I hate places like that!

Bass Pro is opening up down the street from us in Feb... UGHHHHH!!

Ok:

1. They serve COKE products. I KNOW!

2. No we didn't dress up just to go to Cabela's. We went after church and were expecting to see Santa. The Cabela's Santa is the best! Last year we had our pictures taken with him and behind the Santa scene was the trophy of the lion taking down it's "kill"....

3. Our Lehi Cabela's is about 40 minutes away. The similarities are even on the road leading up to the parking lot!

4. I just noticed I spelled (spelt) Cabela's wrong in the title...but the 2 "L"'s
are staying!

One side of the family does the holiday get-together on the Saturday after Christmas (to avoid all the fighting over who has to be where on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).

Most of the folks coming live about two hours away. We got requests from several of them to make the event earlier in the day than we normally do. We live five minutes from Cabella's and everyone wants to make sure they have time to stop on the way home.
