It was dinner/supper time so we high-tailed it to the eatery to use up some table service credits  The menu... Yes, as a matter of fact, that is elk, ostrich, and wild boar you see. (or don't see...old eyes)

My plain ol' turkey which I requested be in a whole wheat wrap with nary a whisper of mayo (HONEST Wish thread friends!)
Before: (ohhhh, I've always wanted to do a dining report. Food Porn! heh.)
Cabelas2008004.jpg

After: (note, I only ate HALF and gave away a goodly amount of my fries...which were de-freakin'-licious with Utah's own secret recipe fry-sauce *mayo/ketchup*)

Hay! There is no Goofy's Redneck Kitchen at OUR Cabela's (which is inconveniently located over two hours away).

HA-rumph!!!

Hmmmm . . . I wonder if Cabela's is where Mrs. The King's Jiggler gets her fudge fix when she's not visiting the House of the Mouse ;)

I sooo look forward to this post every year! :thumbsup2

:lmao: Oh, you never disappoint! I can't believe how grown up Norah is now--she's adorable as always but absolutely a little girl and not a toddler anymore.

Excellent TR! I'll be looking forward to next year's report! popcorn::

Hey! We hit our first Cabela's this past weekend, the one in East Hartford, CT. No candy section--I'd have noticed. The kids liked the animals until DD13 figured out they were taxidermy. FTR, ours seemed to focus more on animals of the Northeast (such as moose), with som ewestern animals, not to mention African and I know there was a polar bear. But the focus was on moose and other local game. Just in case anyone is traveling and wants to check the regional flavor of a Cabela's.

Also, they were out of bison burgers and didn't have elk, ostrich, etc. Dh had to settle for a bison brat. I think next trip, he's going down with just DS11.
