Cabana Massage?

Hi All!
We plan on using the Spa as much as possible, but was wonering about the Cabana Massage at Castaway Cay. Is it a waste of my precious time on the Island or is there something special about it?

Can't wait for that Surial Bath that Tony & Barb suggested!

The ambiance is the main attraction of the cabana massage, at least for me. There's something special about being massaged outdoors near the beach, especially on a wavy day when you can hear the ocean. But you do use up some precious island time, and the ambiance can be destroyed if you have noisy people nearby. Once we sailed on the same cruise as a very large group from an investment firm. They were all major drinkers, and a bunch of them sat right near the cabanas. Instead of drifting off peacefully, I laid awake listening to some very personal information about their clients...I guess the beer must have loosened their tongues, as they were really putting it away.
But that was only one instance out of goodness only knows how many cabana massages, so if it's worth giving up some island time for the ambiance, go for it! Otherwise, I'm sure you would enjoy a massage in the spa.

I loved being outside for the cabana massage. But....and this is a big but.....it was very cold when we were at CC. If I had it to do over again, I would be checking the expected weather just prior to the cancellation time and cancel if it was 70 F or below. It was 70 F with wind the day we were there and I just couldn't relax. I still get chills just thinking about it.

The bright spot. My DH brought me a fruity drink while I was in the cabana. The adjacent cabana folks were jealous. What a sweet heart. I would have liked a hot coffee drink though!
