Cabana in February--worth it?

We are sailing our second cruise in February 2017 in a concierge Royal suite. Our 125 day request window opens this week and I wanted to know if booking a cabana is "worth it" during the winter months. Last time we sailed in August we booked a cabana and loved escaping the sun and heat. Just for a little background we are a family of 5 with a 6,4,& 17 mo old. We are also sailing with a set of grandparents this time who are in their 70s but in fantastic health. Our other port days are key west (booked an on/off trolley day via groupon) and Nassau (doing Hilton beach day). We are hoping that by doing 2 beach days we might get lucky with decent weather on one of those days.

Cabana pricing has increased since we last sailed so I would love to hear people's experiences in the winter on CC which will help us make our decision! Thanks!

As always, this is only one of many opinions...but with a group like yours, with a variety of ages and beach activity preferences, a cabana is perfect, even in February. It's a place to drop all of your stuff, has sand for the kids to play in right off the cabana deck, a hammock also right off the deck, guaranteed beach chairs and loungers in the nearby vicinity, a shady place for naps, the list goes on. But you really asked about February...we have had cabanas in January and February. The weather is not generally "hot", so it isn't needed specifically for shade, but is a really handy option, if you wish to spend the money. It is also a bonus for the occasional afternoon shower that passes through...Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply! I should have just asked my husband because his immediate response was "yes!" Lol. But yes, having a place to corral all our little kiddos is probably going to be key. And we loved bringing food back and having a place to eat privately and allowing the littles to nap. So now we will hope for great weather!

All of our cabana experiences have been in winter months, yes I highly recommend it.
The sun can be very warm in February (I live in South Florida) you just don't know what you are going to get.
There have been a couple times where the weather was a tad on the cooler side, think 70's, but we still enjoyed the heck out of the cabana and getting out of the sun.

Have a wonderful time!
