So what's the best option for this? I assume they don't have a shuttle, I was also contemplating a split stay but am concerned about getting from one hotel to the other and being temporarily "homeless" I've never done Uber. What are my options for transportation?? Thank you!

If you have a smart phone, I suggest Uber or Lyft. It's only a 10 min ride each way. If you look around, you can find good coupons for first timers on Lyft (like 5$ off your first ten rides or first ride free). I've used it around D.C. in September and all my rides were 3-4$ including the tip. If you don't, just grab a cab.

We took the shuttle from RPR to Seaworld. You might call to ask if they also service Cabana Bay. We used Uber to get to DC and back, less than 8 dollars each way.

Per Universal's website Cabana Bay has complimentary scheduled transportation to SeaWorld. The fine print reads:

††Scheduled transportation to SeaWorld Orlando, Wet 'n Wild and Aquatica is provided via Super Star Shuttle with departures based on regular operating hours. Must be booked one day in advance and up to 30 minutes prior to departure. Shuttle service does not run continuously. Boarding passes for the Super Star Shuttle required and available at the Attraction Ticket Center located in the hotel lobby. Not valid for Special Events or Groups.

There is a shuttle to SeaWorld (and a separate one to Busch gardens). When I was there Cabana Bay's shuttle left from the hub. But ask at the front desk to make sure.

We went from PBR/CBR to discovery cove using Uber. It was expensive because of surge pricing! Luckily, I had a $25 credit ( I think it was $25) for a first time ride. I think we still had to pay around $10. Decided not to use Uber anymore after that...

We just used the Super Star shuttle to get to Sea World. The shuttle sucks.

First, we choose to take the 940AM shuttle from the hub instead of the one that left after 10 from the HRH. When we got there, the driver said that they cancelled the 940 because not enough people signed up for the 10am shuttle so they combined them and we woudn't leave until 10. And it still didn't pull out until 10:15am. So much for getting to Sea World when it opened. :-( Then coming home, we planned to take the 545PM shuttle back to the hub. We got to the pick up point at 540pm. At 610, no shuttle had arrived. No 5:45PM shuttle, no 5:55PM shuttle. Eventually we said screw it and got a cab back to the HRH. And I was shocked that when I mentioned my disappointment at the attraction counter at the HRH (had a credit that I used to buy mini golf tickets) after he asked me how my trip was going, he said, "well, it is free, you should be happy that Universal has a free shuttle to take you to someone else's park".

So, the lesson learned here is that nothing in life is free as this free service cost me about 40 minutes of time at Sea World, about a half hour waiting for a shuttle to take us back, the cost of a cab ride, and having to deal with a snarky Universal employee. And to take Uber next time.

That really sucks, I'm sorry you had to deal with that. We are going to have to use the shuttle (or uber) so I appreciate the heads up.
