Has anyone here rented one? Did you like it? I just reserved one for our summer trip- it's quite pricey but MIL has a hard time with the heat so we thought this might help :) Also, any location recommendations are appreciated!

We have rented and really enjoyed them. Ask the CM for advice for best location bcz what you may think you want may not be what someone else likes. Just tell them what kind of location you are looking for. They are very helpful with their recommendations. We have never thought we wasted money on them. Enjoy!

Oh I did not know they had them! May I ask how much they are please? I suffer from the heat terribly and like the option of one at Aquatica.

We loved renting at Typhoon Lagoon and found Blizzard Beach was a big waste of money! We had a cabana to the right of the wave pool near Typhoon Lilly's and it was a great location. The restrooms and of course Typhoon Lilly's is right there. Easy walk, not even 30 seconds, and there is a lazy river entrance/exit right there as well. When the afternoon storms come in, it is wonderful to just sit there and not get soaked waiting it out. We usually time a snack and drink break around that time. :) The price is extremely steep and not something we will do all the time, but the one time we did it, was so worth it. We would do it every time if it was more affordable. Have fun!!

Just over $300 I think. Going to be much hotter this summer than last. It will be a life saver

Thank you. I do believe you are right! I will look into this see what my dear wife thinks. She is the bank manager of our gringots here... Bread winner. I am medically retired. I will build my buisness case for the crust I seek...

Totally agree with the Blizzard Beach comment. Went there for the first time last year. Since we planned a short day, we didn't want to spend the money on a "cabana". So glad we didn't.

Completely agree with Typhoon Lagoon location! We have rented one 3x. Always seem to get the same location. We love it! We use our Disney Visa Reward $, so in my mind it's "free"

We booked our cabana for when we go this November at Typhoon Lagoon! It will be our first time renting them! From what I read it is totally worth it! We also were able to book ours for $158.00 so we felt crazy not to considering how expensive they usually are!

If the price is too steep consider an umbrella. It comes with two beach chairs, 2 lounge chairs, 1 small table and 4 towels. One umbrella per 4 people. I love them and they are much more affordable at around $80. They are in an area that is pretty shady to begin with and I'd never go to TL without renting one now.

Why do you feel that it was a waste of money? Asking cuz we just rented at Blizzard beach as we did Typhoon lagoon last year.

Although I didn't post that comment, I thought I might offer my thoughts. The TL cabanas are not on a main "road" of the park. The Polar Patios at BB, are right on the main "road" that circles the large pool area. I just felt that it was like being on display. Where the TL cabanas are set off. I will say, we did get the chair/umbrella at BB at felt it was a great bargain! We were on a little "island" area that jutted out into the pool. There was a tree in the middle and maybe, 4-5 other chair/umbrella groups. It was awesome.

Yes I agree they are in the road and did feel like being on display for sure. If you look at the pictures of cabanas at both parks, you can see the big difference. At BB the Umbrella was not fun trying to stand under in the rain, all of us couldn't be in the shade when we wanted to. I am not a fan of the sun or getting drenched when the Florida storms roll through. There was better protection from the elements if you will, from the TL cabanas. I would totally spend the money again for them and not hesitate, but BB I wouldn't. I would look into the umbrellas for BB though. I did like having them reserved before we got there so we didn't have to rush to find somewhere to sit. That's a huge plus. Those afternoon storms can be crazy, and TL cabanas hold up better, I think anyway.

This sounds great. How do you go about renting them? Do you do it in advance or when you get there? Do you need to pick the date ahead of time? We're going in July and while we have a date planned to go, we are trying to be flexible in case the weather is better a different day.

They can be reserved by calling (407) 939-7529 - you do need to pick a specific date but they can be cancelled 24 hours in advance. We have one rented at Blizzard Beach in August and I believe it was $58 to reserve it. I'm sure a day-of reservation would work assuming there is an umbrella available.

We were able to rent the umbrella and chairs from TL in October the day of ! My husband was hesitant but said that he wants to rent one every time we go now :) There are only 3 of us so it worked out perfectly, we were also in the area to the right of the wave pool and thought the location was great. I think we paid somewhere around $50 for the day.

Great information! Thank you very much! We are definitely going to look into doing this for our trip.

We just got back from our WDW stay and rented a TL cabana for the 1st time. It was worth it! We requested a cabana by the surf pool and got a great location, number 8. There was just one other cabana no 7 in our little area.

There were padded chairs, side tables and a cooler full of water. We had a great cabana attended, very attentive and gave us her cell number if we needed anything. She came around about every 20min.

The only thing missing was a ceiling fan, just to get some air movement in there would have been great. Otherwise it was very comfy and a great break from the sun.

I think I had to pay in full to reserve it. I have one reserved for August, too.

I've never been to Blizzard Beach, but I thought the polar patios looked pretty private and secluded, at least in this picture. Blizzard Beach, top. Typhoon Lagoon, bottom.
