Cab to MK from DTD - where's drop off?

Hi,

On our first day at MK we have an early ADR at 8:15 and I would like to come in at 8 AM.

We are staying at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista in DTD.

In order to be there early, we'll cab from the hotel. How long will it take and how much?

Where do cabs drop us off? Will we then need to take the monorail (and will be open early?) or is it a direct drop off like the Disney buses?

I want to make sure we plan enough time for our transportation on that 1st morning.

it drops you off at the TTC, at which point you have to take the monorail or Ferry to MK. Resort monorail opens at 6:30am I believe so you can hop on that. Otherwise, the ferries start 1hr before park open, although if you show up a little before that, we will usually go ahead and take people across.

Have the cab drop you off at the Contemporary resort. You can walk to MK from there and it will be much faster than being dropped off at the TTC.

How long would it take for a cab from DTD to the Contemporary; and then from the Contempory by monorail to MK or by walking?

Cab from DTD to CR, 15 minutes at most.
Monorail CR to MK, about 30 minutes. Route is CR to TTC, then POLY, then GF, then MK.
Walk from CR to MK about 10 minutes

It's easy to find. We've walked it several times. Ask the cab driver if he/she will drop you off near the path instead of the CR entrance. That will save you a few steps, lol.

From the CR entrance, walk out & go past the bus stops. Keep walking along the sidewalk. New DVC tower & parking lot will be to your right. You will come to a stop light. Cross the street and continue walking. You will be under the monorail. Just keep going past the resort bus drop off area and you will easily see your way to the bag check stations from there.

or you can drop at TTC, show up to the ferry dock about 7:50 and possibly have your own private 1/3 size Staten Island style ferryboat take you across the lake to MK. It´s all about the experience you choose
