Cab/taxi to airport from Wilderness Lodge

How can I arrange for a taxi from Wilderness Lodge to airport for a very early flights-would need to leave around 5am. Any idea at all on cost? Many thanks for any tips/info!

Why not just use Magical Express?

The bell stand will get you a cab, they probable have them there and available. For price go to Mears’ website I believe there is a fare estimator

Magical Express buses run 24 hours a day. The only thing that stops between 10 pm - 5 am each evening/morning, is the Magical Express luggage delivery service, so those arriving at the airport between those hours have to retrieve their own luggage. As you are leaving WL to go to MCO, that luggage delivery service downtime doesn't affect you at all.

We used Uber for our last trip (Port Orleans to MCO). Reduces the headache of worrying about transportation.

You will have to take your luggage with you on the Magical Express. The resort luggage check-in doesn't start that early. Not a big deal though...you would need to take it in a taxi or Lyft as well.

I was just reading that-but as you say not a big deal. Always worried with several stops that the Magical Express would not get me to airport early enough-(flying during the Christmas holidays) so another reason to look at alternatives-however sounds like they really do know what they are doing! Have not been to Disney since 2007 so I am sure things are very different!

I'm not familiar with that service, so don't know anything about it. Is it an outside company?

Airline check-in at the resort does not start until 5 AM. Your luggage will go with you on the bus.

We take Lyft to the airport sometimes. We find ourselves with lots of extra time at the airport (due to TSA precheck and Clear members) which is time we would rather spend at Disney. The last time we took Lyft was mid-day on a Saturday. It took around 30-35 minutes and was $33 (not including tip).

Many things, yes. But the only change to Magical Express is the RAC/luggage hours.

• Resort Airline Check-in is open daily from 5 A.M. to noon.
• Luggage must be completely checked in at least three hours before the flight.
• Luggage can only be checked in the same calendar day as the flight.

Yes, too early. See above. You couldn't even use RAC if up your flight left at 8 AM. Probably not for any flight before 8:10, and then only if you're willing to be waiting in line very, very early.
