Anyone have a price of a cab from AOA to MK? We have to be at MK by like 7:30 for her 8AM BBB appt.. Also, how long does it take a cab to get to the hotel after I call? & how long is the drive from AOA to MK? Thanks so much!

Instead of cabbing it to MK, take the cab to the Contemporary. Cabs for MK will drop you off at the TTC, you're better off getting out at CR and walking to MK.

If you get on " our laughing place transportation calculator" you can see how long it takes and "Orlando taxi fare finder" will tell you an estimated cost. We are taking a cab from AoA to the GF then the monorail for our 8:05 ARD at Crystal Palace for about $10

I took a cab from Pop to Beach Club...there was a cab right out front of the hotel and it took about 6 minutes to get there and i want to say it was about $8 but i gave him $10.....
And then also one night after a long day at the park we headed to the Polynesian for Dinner at Kona....me and my daughters feet hurt sooo bad i couldnt imagine taking the monarail back to MK and then to walk all the way to the Pop bus station....so we took another cab back instead and we stopped at the Hess Station ...but without the stop i would say it was less then 10 minutes and it was $20 with the stop ...

So it would be a bad idea to get dropped off there?

You cannot be dropped off at the front of MK. You will have to walk rom the Contemporary, or take the monorail from TTC or one if the monorail hotels or the boat from GF...

Just so you know, MK buses ARE running that early. We've done it many times for the 8am breakfasts and tours.

If you HAVE to be at the the Magic Kingdom by a certain time DO NOT trust the monorail. Don't let a cab drop you off at the Ticket and Transportation Center. The monorail has been iffy at best for the past few years. As long as 5 years ago, I didn't know better and my DSIL was 30 mintues late for her pre-paid Keys to the Kingdom tour. Luckily, they knew the monorail was trouble and let her in a later tour.

There are stories all over the DIS about delays on the monorail, including someone trying to get from the Grand Floridian (where you could walk if not for the canal that they use to store boats) and it took almost 3 hours to get guests there.

If you can't get a bus, take a cab to the Contemporary-it's a short walk.

I wouldn't go to TTC. We stayed offsite in 2010 and nearly missed an 8:15am CP breakfast because our cab dropped us at TTC and monorail/boats weren't running until 8:00am. The boat took pity on us and left a few minutes early.

I would either take a resort bus to MK or taxi to Contemporary and walk. We paid $20 from Marriott OWC (couple miles away) to the parks.
