Cab from MK?

Can you get a cab from MK to the Boardwalk? Where and how late do they run? Are they regular size or are there "van-size" cabs available? We are doing the MNSSHP, there are 8 of us including my 75-year old parents. The thought of a long crowded bus ride after a long evening at MK makes me wonder if there is an alternative.

The vans will be at the Transportation and Ticket Center... which means you'd need to take the Resort Monorail over to the TTC, because the Express will be closed. The Monorail will be just as crowded as the buses are. Once you get to the TTC, you'd probably have to get 2 cabs, since the Vans have a capacity of only 7.

All things being equal, the bus would really be your best bet.

Thanks, Tyler. Do you think we'd have much of a wait if we put mom and dad in a cab around 10 p.m. the night of MNSSHP? I don't think they'll want to hang around much later than that. The rest of us can catch the dreaded
BC/YC/BW/S&D bus later that night!

Why not just put them on the bus? I wouldn't imagine there would be any crowds around the bus at that time of night, and it would be a straight shot. It would also be quicker, and easier.

I disagree with Tyler. I'd walk over to the CR from the MK (about ten minutes, or take the resort monorail to the nearest resort) and have the Bell person hail you a cab. It will cost between $10 and $15. They can call you a van or a regular cab - same price - I'd do one van and one cab for your party - which will work very comfortably and cost you less than $30. No chance of your elderly parents needing to stand on a moving bus. Chances are pretty good your parents can make the transition by themselves - they just need to get off the monorail at the nearest resort and ask for the bell stand - and they will be dropped off back at your hotel (I had some concerns with my MIL getting lost - I didn't need to worry, but I know sometimes with parents you worry as much as you do about kids).

We never take buses at closing. Too many 40 minute waits in long lines while we were overtired - only to stand on a bus.

But at 10:00, during a MNSSHP, the bus stops are typically virtually empty. Therefore, minimal wait, and no standing.
