CA Adventure - Extra Magic Hour Confusion

This makes it pretty clear. While some guest might not understand the difference between mm/emh, I'm pretty sure they know the difference between the parks and the days of the week. If your going to DCA on a Wednesday you could look at your ticket and say "it's not Tuesday, and it's not Disneyland so it must not be what my ticket is good for"....

I do agree they should just change the sign to "entry for only guest of the Grand, DLH or PP" but I somehow suspect they are afraid that would come across offensive.

... But you're coming at it opposite from the person you responded to. They are saying that it makes sense to go to the line. You are saying that it makes sense to ask questions. But people don't HAVE questions. They think it's simple. They don't know that Disney calls "early entrance at Disneyland" MM for those offsite and EMH for those onsite. Who would??? They don't know that early entrance at DCA is EMH and tickets don't give you that. It's a horrid system and a worse explanation...

If you look at my comment, you'll see that I was agreeing with SMD. He said that if you see a line, get in it. (This is DLR after all, right?). I am saying that, once you're in the line, confirming that you are in the right line is a safe thing to do. It's not that hard to ask someone if you are in the right line (especially, as SMD pointed out, if you are alone in a spot and everyone else is lining up at the other park). And the stress relief that comes with the reassurance is also very helpful first thing in the morning, pre-coffee.
We're frequent visitors to the parks and we've learned to put this into practice. I get in the line (not ride lines, but event lines) and DH goes to make sure I picked the right one. Simple and saves a lot of grief.

I think it could be confusing if you're brand new. I was left with the impression from my ta that I could only choose one day to do the early entry, but now it appears I can do everyday as I'm staying at the Disneyland hotel. Thankfully it's still a few months away and I know this now.

Oh come on, to a regular tourist, Disneyland is the entire resort located in Los Angeles.

We know that there are multiple falsehoods in that statement, but to someone visiting from outside the area, and not a big Disneyland fan,... Heck, some folks think Disneyland is located in Orlando, Florida. (And it doesn't help that all other parks beside WDW have "Disneyland" in its name).

But then again, to be technical, WDW is not located in Orlando, only Universal and SeaWorld are within city limits.

Well, at least both Disneyland and WDW are located in Orange County....

I can understand why a typical vacationer doesn't understand the differences.

I don't think it's all that confusing if you actually read the information that you're given.
We were in line at Disneyland in April talking to a family who insisted that because they'd bought a package from Costco, it included EMH at DCA, even though they weren't staying at a Disney hotel. They were going to use it the following day. After trying to explain that EMH was only for Disney hotel guests, they still insisted that it was included, so I let it go. So even some people, given evidence to the contrary of what they think they've read, still don't accept it.
