CA add-ons?

I am thinking of a 2015 ABD trip to CA. I was wondering if there were discounts on the hotels when adding days on before or after at the hotels or is it rack rates paid? Also, is transportation provided to/from the airport if adding days on before or after if staying at the ABD hotels? I am thinking of adding one day before and possibly 2 days after on the tour. I know it's a long time away, but I like to plan waaaaaaay ahead!

I don't know specifically about the Backstage Magic ABD (I'm sure others who do will chime in) but on the ABD's I've done, the pre- and post- days offered by ABD have been significantly more expensive than booking the hotel room yourself.

The good parts are:

The transfers to/from the airport are included if you book the pre- or post- days through ABD. Generally, you have to get yourself to/from the hotel if you didn't book it through ABD (and there's no discount/refund for the transfer you don't take the day the ABD starts or ends). If there's a mass transfer (like on Cowboys & Canyons) you can go back to the airport to pick it up, but that doesn't make sense for most ABD's, where they pick you up in a town car.

Breakfast is usually included.

You can stay in the same room the whole time you are there. Occasionally you can arrange that yourself when you check in, but there's no guarantee.
