Has anyone ever bought this and (fortunately) had to file a claim? I'm trying to get my ducks in a row for insurance so I can book my cruise and insurance at the same time. Ive never used a third party travel insurance before and I get a little overwhelmed. This was recommended by TA I spoke to (but I didn't know if that was their default recommendation or if they truly knew). We have only purchased insurance for one trip - a Carnival Cruise - and we just purchased Carnival's insurance. However, I have quickly realized Disney's insurance is not the best option, both $ wise or coverage wise. DH and I are both 38 and both Type 1 Diabetic. We are in good health overall, and our diabetes is under great control, but you just can't predict what is going to happen. Also, our parents are of a more mature age and I worry about that also.

I believe you meant "Un"fortunately? I agree Disney's insurance may not be the greatest value depending on what coverage you are looking for.

We had them for a couple cruises but thankfully never had to file a claim. We use another carrier now because I was told C&F does not write in FL anymore (we are FL residents).

One word of advise - do your research. You need to read all the fine print for preexisting conditions because each company has different rules and if you do not purchase the insurance at the correct time a pre-existing condition may not be covered.

Good luck

Oh yes, sorry, I definitely meant unfortunately!

I keep digging around on different insurance sites and trying to read all the info. Boy does it make your head swim after a while. I'm finding with most companies as long as you purchase insurance within 15-21 days of booking your trip, usually the pre existing condition waivers are in place. It's one thing I keep specifically questioning. My quote from Dreams Unlimited ends tomorrow and I'm determined that I find the insurance policy that I want before I book the cruise.

It seems like I'll get close to settling on one, and then find questionable reviews. Of course good reviews too. So hard to decide!

We've purchased their insurance several times. Prices are always low, and coverage is as high, or higher, than anything else I've seen.

Our credit union partners with them, which is how we found them.

Never had to file a claim.

We also use them, but haven't had to file a claim, thankfully!

So, based on reports here...

You should definitely use travel insured intl. You will have great luck and never have to file a claim!

Since I initially priced insurance from them through an online broker there were some things I was unsure of so when I had questions I would call them direct. Each time I got an agent that was extremely helpful and took the time to explain everything to me and explain the coverages. I did that again with the company I used for my next trip - and I called several times before purchasing and each time I got a different agent, but they had system notes that followed my quote and they were always friendly and helpful. I ended up purchasing direct this time because I had such a good experience with their customer service team.

And I am like you - I want my insurance set so I don't make a mistake and miss coverage because of a date restriction. So if you still have questions, feel free to call them and ask. They are no pressure and it will make you feel at ease.
