Bye to Tarzan Rocks! - Hello Jungle Book ?

Tarzan Rocks! to Close in Early 2006!
We loved the show - saw it 3 times- sad to see it close.

When the Theater in the Wild reopens, a new stage show will debut in the renovated location.
Maybe in 2007 ?
With the AK theme....
How about aw: Jungle Book ?

Anyone have an idea of a replacement and date for new show ?

So this won't close till early next year? I'm glad to hear that. My kids are really looking forward to seeing this show.

I'm really going to miss Tarzan Rocks! also. I enjoyed that show more than the Lion King, but all good things must come to an end... =(

I hope they dont bring the Jungle book back.. not in the same format anyway.. it wasnt great. Tarzan is SO much better.....

I've seen the Tarzan show twice. It is actually one of my favorite memories of Disney World. My son and I sat next to this little boy and his father. The little boy was telling me how his mother thought tarzan was really "hot"(the kid's words not mine). His dad was rolling his eyes as the son was telling the story. It was really cute. Anyway, it was a good show and I hate to see it go. I'm sure Disney will come up with something just as good though.

I love tarzan rocks too. I haven't been to the world in nearly 5 years so I'm happy I have one more chance to see it when we go in Dec. We're thinking of going back in March so, MAYBE I'll get to see it then too. Wonder how soon they'll close it?

I read somewhere that there was a rumor about the new show involving Nemo. Maybe it was said tounge in cheek though. Hmm.

Just had to throw this out there as this post perplexed me... "Jungle Book" was the show at the theater when the park opened in 1998. It was replaced by "Tarzan Rocks"...I doubt that they would replace it with a show that had already been there????

Oh I'm so bummed!! We're taking a trip next summer to do some wedding planning and my family had never seen Tarzan. My fiance and I saw it last September and described it to them and I was looking forward to them being able to see it. Nuts!

Personally, we'll be glad to see the tarzan show go. We hope there will be a Jungle book show replace it -- one based on the classic movie. We think that would be the best choice to marry the concepts on animals/AK/ and the park.

I too love the Tarzan Rocks show. I also think Tarzan is a "hottie." And I love the skaters, and the Phil Collins songs, and the band, and the aerial numbers and.....

We just saw it last week for the first time - we thought it was fantastic!! I'm so glad we saw it before they close it. I was just telling my family how good it was and they asked me why I didn't video tape some of it - I guess I was so into the show I forgot to tape some. It's too bad, the guy that plays Tarzan was HOT - what a body!!!
