I'm finally having that Nuclear Stress Test today.

I couldn't have anything to eat or drink after midnight, and nothing until the testing is completed.

I'm going to have one major caffeine withdrawal headache!

Pray I don't pull a coronary while I'm running like the wind on the treadmill, or that I don't have an allergic reaction to the radioactive dye they'll be pumping through my veins!

Aww, Blondie, it'll be fine. My husband had that done, and it's really no big deal. I know how you feel, though, I get REALLY anxious about any kind of medical test. I'm sure you'll come through with flying colors! I'll say a prayer for you!

Kathy, I don't know which is worse, doing without caffeine or running on that treadmill.

I had to have some tests done recently and had to be NPO after midnight. I rarely ever want anything after midnight anyway, but knowing I couldn't have anything made me crave everything.

The fear of the test is far worse than the actual procedure!! You'll be surprised how long you'll hang on to the treadmill!

Good luck! Medical tests are always intimidating. I get so anxious before them I almost pass out, so I understand your fear. But like the others have said, the fear of the test is always worse than the test itself.

Don't worry its not as bad as it sounds. I had it done about a month ago. Dr said I did very well for someone who is so small.

I've done that test, too. It is not bad at all. Everything will go just fine.

Thanks for the good thoughts, prayers and PD...it must've worked because I'm still living and breathing!

The premilinary reading is that everything seems within normal limits.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, they only had me on the treadmill for 6 minutes (to get to my max heart rate.)

First thing I got to drink was a Starbuck's White Chocolate Mocha! Caffeine never tasted so good!
