By show of hands... how many of you have spouses who are as crazy about DVC/Disney

My DH loves to go and loves the experiences but doesn't plan a thing and isn't a Disney geek so much otherwise. I go to D23 events and he just thought three days of seminars and such about Disney would be mind numbing..however..on our cruise last Sept, which turned into one of the 4 Pixar cruises, he completly enjoyed the presentations by John Lassiter one day and creation of Carsland another day..I still don't think he's Expo material, but he is getting more appreciative of the history and creation of the magic:)

I love these posts :)

My DH definitely wasn't a fan at all when we first met. Now he's the one who suggests a quick trip and possible add on and taking family members hehehe...

My husband LOVES DVC, but knows NOTHING about how it runs. I manage the points, book our trips, etc. I don't think he has ever logged into the website. :thumbsup2

 Both of us here.
He is the one that keeps asking if we need more points, can we go more often :)

Half a hand here - my DH is crazy about our DVC but he could take or leave the Disney parks.

My DH definitely LOVES it.....but not as much as I do! I have 6 DVC trips booked for 2013....he's only traveling with me on 4 of those!

I'm the disney dvc nut in our house...

On the contrary my hubby tells me to sell our DVC nearly everday :worried:

Hubby and I both love DVC and WDW

Although he doesn't love it enough to do all the planning / banking of points / swapping / reservations / extra bits such as car hire etc etc He just loves it when we are there :)

This is our house as well. DH loves WDW and our DVC but does nothing with our account. I'm not sure he even knows any of the DVC rules except what the booking windows are. As well he doesn't have anything to do with the planning. Occasionally he will put in a restaurant request but otherwise he pretty much just shows up. Which works out just fine because I love to do the planning.

My hand is up! :wave2: He loves DVC as much as I do, maybe more. He was the one who said we needed to go this year, all I did was make it happen. He would love to buy another contract if the right one came along.

I was sooooo anti-Disney before we got married 5 years ago, and was even more so after we spent our 3 day honeymoon there (nothing like having little kids run over your feet and keep pushing you all over the place when you're suppose to be enjoying each other's company). Then 2 years ago we went with her entire family, MIL, FIL, SIL/H & 2 kids, BIL, and us. We all stayed at BCV on my MIL's points and it was the most awesome time.

Last year after she got promoted and I came into some funds we went for a week over the summer (we're in education), paying cash to stay again at BCV. It was fantastic and I've become a total convert, perhaps more Disney-fied than her or her family (I still hate Mickey...Donald is the DUCK) and we're hoping that DVC doesn't ROFR our first attempt at a contract. Hoping to go back again this summer.

as you are?

Can't believe DH just suggested a last minute trip to Disney!
I am scrambling to find DVC availability :scared:

I am totally ecstatic but freaking out at the same time...

lol my DH suggested the same thing a month ago for June (last minute only in DVC speak), wasn't able to secure any resorts we'd want to visit, so went with CRO.

my better half drug his heels as to visiting WDW and the initial purchase in DVC, he's now fully assimilated.;)

We met at Disney Institute, got engaged during the Tapestry of Nations parade, got married on a ranch outside Las Vegas but honeymooned at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We are manic Disney cruisers and love, love, love our DVC.

It would be hard to tell which of us has drunk more of the Disney Kool-Aid...luckily we don't have to!

Count us in as a crazy Disney & DVC couple. After giving up my dream of owning it was actually DH that suggest we purchase DVC after renting points from a friend. :yay:

My DH loves Disney, but not as much as I do. But he is definitely the cheerleader for DVC when any of our friends ask about it. He had never been to WDW as a child, made his first trip in 2000 with me and stayed off site. In 2002, we made our first on-site trip and stayed at AKV. He fell in love with Disney service, and the resort. We bought SSR in 2004, and when I mentioned to him they were building AKV, he's the one that asked how many points we were getting. He used to be happy going every other year, but now he's really enjoying his yearly trips. But don't ask him to plan the trip, because that is never going to happen.

We bought DVC because my DH pushed and begged. I'm the Disney lover and vacation planner. Without me he'd never take a vacation, but because of me, he's fallen in love with Disney and now can't get enough.

Wow, to be so anti-Disney and agree to go to WDW for your honeymoon! That must be true love
