BWV's Walking Path to Disney/MGM Studios?

We are making our first trip "Home" since becoming new members. We are staying at BWV for the first time. Our home resort is BCV, but we thought we would experience BWV on this quick get away. Our main purpose is to take the kids to MNSSHP on Oct. 5, 2003. We will be there Oct. 3 - Oct. 6. We have a studio with a boardwalk view guaranteed! My question is how long does it take to walk to the studios and which side of the canal is the path on? The BWV side or the Swan/Dolphin side?? Also any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

The walkway is on the BW side of the canal and will take about 15 minutes. It's a nice walk.

We always walk from BWV to MGM. It is actually faster than the boat and is a nice stroll.

Yes, it's a nice stroll -- a lot nicer going to MGM than coming "home" (tired)!

Every time we have walked, we have gotten to MGM faster than if we would have waited for the boat. I like walking over to MGM and taking the boat back, then getting off at the Swn/Dolphin and cutting back over the bridge.

How true! That said, I still choose to walk unless a boat is already at the MGM dock, and there is room on it for me. When I'm tired, it's actually easier (to say nothing of quicker) to keep moving than it is to stand and wait.

Short walk. Go out the stairs at the end of the hall. (You know the one all the people complain about.)

Walk takes about 10 -12 minutes. It is faster than the boat going and coming back.

10 to 15 minutes I wish.

My wife loves to just look at the water as we are walking, look for the fish swimming by as we lean over the railing, watch the ducks waddle around, watch the boats go by as we are walking oh so slowly, remember that the pontoon boats used for the fishing excursions where beached on the spot that we now walk. All this takes much longer than 15 minutes, but then again isn't that all part of MAGIC, Just don't tell her that I really enjoy that walk as much or more then she does.
