During our trip to BWV last week, our washing machine made a horrendous, loud whining noise during the spin cycle. Maintenance fixed it right away.

Then DW noticed a wet spot on the ceiling in the master shower. I felt itand it was soft. We called again, and maintenance cut a whole in the ceiling and found a leak!

THEN, we had a leak under the kitchen sink that we thought was from the dishwasher. Maintenance came to fix it, yet it reoccured later in the week. We told them upon checkout that we still had a problem.

Plus, anyone notice how hard it is to get the sofa beds in and out? I could have sworn both of the units in our 2BR had been bent by someone forcing them. Shheeesh.

BCV have the same problem with their sofa beds - I had to call HK to get someone to fix it while we were gone - She say that they were a BIG problem.

we had a similar experience with BWV....washer wasn't hooked up right. refrigerator didn't work, master shower was clogged and had to be POWER PLUNGED (Can you say "hot zone"?)...all on our day of arrival. Yes, maintenance was quick, but how about some preventive maintenance, so the repair time isn't in the middle of my vacation? Why is there no form to fill out on check out about repair issues in the unit?

Why the "Shheeesh"? It sounds as though you had some minor problems and they were responded to immediately. I would think that you would have been happy.

All problems were responded to immediately. It's just the hassle factor of calling just about every day when we noticed something. Then I wonder, was this all like this for the previous occupants? Why didn't they call?

While problems can happen at all the DVCs, maybe BWV is especially prone to them right now because they can't do as much preventative maintenance. Part of the reason for DVC holding 4% of the resort is to allow them to take rooms out of inventory to do the maintenance. With the repair problems at BWV, they are already taking rooms out of service so maybe they aren't keeping up with the preventative schedule in favor of giving members more rooms to book. Just a thought that this may improve once the siding issue is resolved. It seems like BWV hasn't had full use of the resort in at least two years.
