I just got back from a great trip to the BWV. We own at SSR and BCV but love BWV. It was hot so we spent more time at the hotel and less time at the parks (mostly nights).

Got a nice check in with WH. Room was perfered view (room 5026). It was a room at the end so a fairly far walk but nice view of pool and MGM. Room was perfect, no complaints. Noticed no maintenence going on.

I did a lot of travel to other resorts for swiming, eating and shoping. One thing I wish is that the BW would have a nice cheap place to eat like Port orleans, the Contempory, Poly, Car Beach... The bakery seetms to be doughnut focued. Does anyone else know of a place.

We ate at:
Cape Mays - Good
Wispering Canyon - Great
Japan Tepenyaki - Good
Chief mickeys - Great
Fultons Crab - Great

I love Comunity Hall at BWV, it is a great place to go and does not cost much money. Great activities.

All in all, a great trip with no complaints.

Thanks for the trip report, glad you had a great time.

Can't help you on the dining choices -- there are no food courts, just the reestaurants - but it sounds like you found a lot of my favorites!

I agree...I wish Boardwalk area had a counter service area like Roaring Fork at WL. I guess they didn't want to hurt their restaurant business. And yes, I know they have some food in the kiosks and the Spoodles pizza window.

Thanks for taking the time to post your impressions, and glad you had a great trip! :)

We were at BWV last week and ate at the Swan and Dolphin 3 times. DVC members get a 20% discount on meals. You must show your member card. We had a character dinner at Gulliver's grill for around $50. We also had lunch + Dinner at Tubbi's for around $25.00 We are a family of 5. (although the 2 yr old doesn't eat much..)

We went looking for cheap eats + counter service. I like to avoid the tipping if we can. The quality of the food was great and we will keep going back each trip home.

I would suggest Tubbi's over at the Dolphin. We stayed at the swan, but we like the cafeteria style dining at Tubbi's (and it is always open, I believe). We forget to bring our DVC card for the discount (wasn't staying on points on that trip). We were there at Christmas time and left at 6:30 on Christmas morning and they were open!!!!! It was great!

I agree with what others have said about the swan and dolphin. Use you 20% discount at all the restaurants there. The ESPN club is also a casual place to eat.

Glad you had a great trip! I also wish they had a counter service restaurant closer to the BW itself. I do love the sit-down restaurants, but occasionally would love the option of quick order/pick-up. I liked the quick service type at Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for instance.

Thank you for posting about your trip!:)

Ok, now I feel out of it. BWV is my home resort and we have never even been inside the Community Hall. What do they actually have to offer? Thanks....
