Hi there everyone, I'll try this again, as I lost the first post somehow:confused3

Here's my trip report for our stay during Pres week...

Travel Party: Me and DH, we also met some friends there, they just bought last year.

Place: BWV!!!!

Dates: Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19th - Saturday early a.m. Feb 25th.

We had a standard studio for two nights and then a standard one bedroom for the remaining four nights.

I think the studio was 5029, not too far from elevator. It was in perfect condition, clean and fresh with everything in working order. I made a fool of myself and called front desk because I thought this studio was smaller somehow (was told they are all the same size) and I wanted to know where the coffee table was and the CM said there are no coffee tables in the studios!:lmao::lmao:

However, I did notice that this studio didn't have that little daybed either.
I also finally came to the realization that I'm a spoiled DVC brat, as I decided that I'm no longer a lover of the studio's in that I don't like the fact that there's only one night table and no coffee table. I also really miss the jacquzzi and the washer/dryer. That being said, I booked studio's for upcoming trips anyway, cause they are lovely and staying in studio's gets me there more often!:cool1:

Anyway, we landed around 6 p.m. on Sunday and headed straight to ME as we only had carry-ons. It took about 30 minutes altogether, between boarding and leaving. I think the bus driver was waiting for more flights to come in. We were, If I remember correctly, the third or forth stop. So by the time we got to the resort, of course our room was ready, so we dropped everything off and met our friends (who arrived on an earlier flight) for dinner at Big River Grille! Man oh man do we LOVE being at the BW and the entire area!!! Missed it bad!

Day 2: Monday, We met up with our friends and explored EPCOT. It was way more crowded than I expected, but then again it was President's Day.

We didn't even get to ride Soarin cause our FP's were during our dinner reservation, so we just gave them away. We did try to go back during the day, but the wait was 90 minutes, so we skipped it. (we've been there many times, so it didn't kill us to miss it:guilty:)
We did do the Universe of Energy, TT, Innoventions and all the countries, as well as getting to see some great "street" performers outside of the countries. We had pastries in France and beer in Germany! Did I say I love being here?!:woohoo:
We had late dining reservations, so we headed back to the BW and met up with some more friends from home, who also belong to DVC and were passing through on their way to Vero Beach. We had some drinks in ESPN and really enjoyed some good laughs! It was awesome!

We headed back to EPCOT for our dinner reservation at R&C and got to see Illuminations at the end of our meal. It was a most perfect day. We did however pass out about 10:00 pm!!! No more all nighters for this group! The drinks in ESPN aided in early bedtime too!:rolleyes1

Day 3: Tuesday, we all decided this was going to be a late relaxing morning and a non park day. The weather was absolutely perfect, in the 70's with low humidity. We lazed around, had coffee on our balcony, and I even got a good walk in around the BW a few times. Then we met up with our friends and headed over to DTD. We had lunch outside Earl Of Sandwich, (yum) and shopped for awhile. Then we had sundae's at Ghiradelli's! :cloud9: But, of course!

Then we went over to SSR because our friends actually bought there site unseen and wanted to see it. They loved it, although they did say it was way bigger than they thought! They will love it for sure though. We stayed there once and it was wonderful.

We headed back home, parted from our friends and relaxed in our rooms for awhile. Then we met up for dinner in ESPN. (this time we actually ate!:cool2:)
Then we went over to the quiet pool by the inn and just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. No one wanted to rush around anywhere.

DAY 4 TO FOLLOW

Thanks for the trip report! I look forward to reading more.

Our trips overlapped a bit! We were at BWV from 2/20-2/26, stayed in a 2 bedroom with friends. I think we were in 3086/3088, overlooking Luna Park Pool.

Only the dedicated studios have the little daybed, lockoffs do not because of the door.

No coffee tables in any. That was brought up during an annual meeting, they said would look into it but nothing ever happened.

This sounds like the most perfect vacation. Relaxing and taking each day as it comes. Good weather, food and friends. Not necessarily in that order! :goodvibes

When we stay there I call and ask for a coffee table. They have always brought me one. Our last stay was in October. I will not be happy if they dont have them any more.

:)Sounds like my kind of vacation! Looking forward to hearing more. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.

Loving the TR so far! We're buying into BWV (should close on Monday :woohoo:) and have been looking for TRs from our new "home."

DAY 4: Wednesday - Check in/Check out Day & MK!!! :lovestruc:wizard:

We checked out of our studio, and since we did online check in, we just went downstairs, checked our luggage with bell services and grabbed our check in packet. Of course the room wasn't ready, it was only 11:30 a.m.

The four of us decided today that we'd go into the park later and again relax in the morning. It worked out great! We met up and headed over to the park well after noon. We actually got off the bus and walked to the boat and went into Wilderness Lodge first to walk the grounds of the Villa's and grab a quick lunch at Roaring Forks.

Then we jumped back on the boat and went into the park. My husband and I haven't taken a boat ride around Seven Seas Lagoon in so long, it was a nice change of pace. And all four of us enjoyed being at Wilderness for a bit, we haven't done that in a long time either.

MK was awesome, as usual! We rode SM, did HM, Mickey's Philharmagic, the People Mover, and the train. We watched the stage show from quite a distance, but my camera caught some great shots with the zoom:

We also got to see the daytime parade from the balcony of the train station! Great view!

The highlight of our day was dinner in the Castle! I think this was like my 28th trip, my husbands 12th and our friends 4th, and none of us ever had dinner in the Castle! So we were all very much looking forward to experiencing this. I didn't realize it was a character/princess dinner, duh, but everyone still wanted to go. We passed on the picture with Cinderella, we felt it was best to leave it to the kids and their families, and we were just more comfortable not having the picture. Being in the castle was wonderful, it's beautiful! We were seated at a table near the window. The service and the food was fantastic! Probably our best meal in WDW ever! Each princess did come over, and was very friendly and respectful of the fact that we were an all adult party that preferred not to engage in the pictures.
Each princess was perfect and beautiful. The restaurant is also beautiful. And luck was with us, as we when we walked in to the castle to sign in for our reservation, it started raining. When we sat at our table it was absolutely pouring, and when we were done and went back into the park, it stopped raining! It was definitely a treasured memory and something I'll do again!

We didn't stay for the electric light parade or fireworks, majority ruled that we leave the park early (I was the only one that wanted to stay late!), but I've seen them before and look forward to seeing them again, so we headed back home. Got ice cream in the sweet shoppe and relaxed on the BW before heading to bed.

This time we were in room 2109. A little further than mid hall, but a great location for coming out by the pool and walkway over to the Dolphin (I had a spa appointment for the end of the week:cool1:) This is a standard one bedroom, YEA! It was in wonderful condition, all working order and clean. However, that being said, I noticed an unclean smell coming from the garbage pail/under the sink area. I called housekeeping immediately and they immediately replaced the garbage pails. It helped, but I realized the smell was coming from the sink disposal, so I put the stopper in tightly and ran lots of bubbles and dish soap. Left that in the sink for overnight, and did it again in the morning, as it drained through slowly. It took care of it, and I did tell housekeeping that that was the problem. Other than that, perfection! We spent each morning for the rest of the week enjoying that balcony and had our friends back for a glass of wine one night.

That's it for day 4, day 5 to follow....

i love reading TRs, but throw BWV in there and i'm on :cloud9:
just to note: 5029 is a BW view studio, across from the games and above BRG (i only know b/c we've stayed in x029 or x031 every one of our many BWV studio stays:rolleyes:). sorry, but i'm not sure of the SV room numbers because of this BW view addiction :guilty:

btw, i can feel that sense of incredible happiness and serenity of coming home to the BWV just oozing from your first day report.
dining, walking around WS with friends, then strolling back to the BW.....ahhhh, i have "life is good" goosebumps just reading your report
