We have a PS for Chef Mickey's at 8:00 am.

How to get there from the Boardwalk?

Bus to MK and take the monorail?
Walk/boat to Epcot and take the monorail?
Others?

What do you think is best?

I would check with Guest Services to see how early the charachter breakfast bus will be running to the MK. If it's early enough, take the bus to the MK and walk or monrail to the CR. The walk is about 10 minutes.

I wouldn't go through Epcot since you would have to walk all the way through both WS and FW.

I would not advise asking Guest Services anything about transportation. Everyone outside of the bus drivers are notorious for giving very wrong information. The early buses to the various breakfasts and tours throughout WDW start running every day between 6:15am and 7am depending on what time the first breakfast is scheduled.
Take the bus from the Boardwalk and tell the driver you are going to Chef Mickey's. If time allows the driver will let you off at the Contemporary Resort. If you get off at the Magic Kingdom you can monorail over or take the (at most) ten minute walk to the Contemporary.
The earliest Epcot would open would be 8am for EMH so you could not walk through to the monorail before then. As the previous poster said, it is a very long walk from the International Gateway to the Epcot main entrance.
Get to the Boardwalk bus stop around 7:00-7:15am and you should have plenty of time to get to your 8am breakfast.

Even if MK doesn't open until 9:00, the buses start running around 7. You should be safe if you take a bus to MK then walk over to the Contemporary. I have found that unless you get a monorail that's just getting there and ready to depart, it can take longer..especially since it's a 3-4 minute walk from the bus area to the monorail platform and only an 8 minute walk from the bus to CR. I would plan on getting to the BW bus area at 7:00, just to be on the safe side.

Just want to note that you cannot take a taxi to the Magic Kingdom. All traffic except for Disney buses must go to the TTC. From there you must then either boat or monorail over to the MK.
The bus is your best way even if you have to get off at the MK and walk or monorail over to Chef Mickey's.

Since when? We've taken a cab to CR before, no problem. I do agree, if you're going to the MK the cab goes only to TTC not to the MK enterance.

Absolutelely. I think that the previous poster was 'assuming' that the OP would want to go to MK, hence the no cab to MK statement. However it wouldn't make much sense to take a cab to MK when you really want to go to the CR, would it? Just a little brain cramp, I'm sure. Happens to me all the time!

I would take the bus to MK and walk. It is a very short walk, and as someone pointed out, the opposite direction of the monorail, so you would be halfway there, and would probably have to wait for a monorail anyway!.
