BWV SV studio view ??

Do all the standard view BWV studios face the Epcot way rather than the MGM way? And if so, does that mean that assuming I get an upper level studio as I requested, I'll be guaranteed to be able to see Illuminations from my balcony? If not guaranteed, what are my chances? I'm so disappointed that the Eiffel Tower is down, and may not be up by my early December trip. So I really hope I can see Illuminations from my balcony the one night I'm there.

SV BWV are along the driveway ...so yes they sort of face Epcot. From what I hear there are one or 2 rooms where you can see a little bit of illuminations from the balcony...

As one who always stays in the BWV SV rooms, I can assure you that there are more than one or two SV rooms that have a view of the Illuminations fireworks. Keep in mind that you can only see the higher level fireworks and that those are not "continuous" - there is a break in between. You will not see any of the lasers or the lagoon.

The rooms that have a view are the ones farther from the elevators. The view from the rooms close to the elevators is blocked by the BWI Hotel and also the Convention Center area of the complex. FWIW, we've had rooms on the ground floor across from the bus stop/near the pond that had a view of the fireworks from the patio. You'll probably hear the "booms" from the fireworks no matter what SV room you have. The fireworks don't last very long - the break in between (when you can't see anything but occasionally can hear some music) lasts longer than either group of fireworks.

If you are only going to be there the one night, my advice is to walk out to the Boardwalk area and watch the fireworks from there or from the bridge between the BW and the BC. It's not all that far from the rooms and you will absolutely see the fireworks (upper level) from either of those areas.
