BWV Studio Question

Hi-

We just stayed in a studio for the 1st time. It was a dedicated one with a daybed in it. Do all dedicated studios have a day bed? We need to make another ressie on Mon. and need to get our requests straight.

I know they only have the sofa and queen bed. But ours also had a day bed. I was wondering if it was because it was a dedicated or if just some studios have this as an extra.

I don't think there is any drawer space under the deacon's bench that is called a "day bed" at BWV. This cushioned bench is only found in dedicated studios because it goes where the door would be located to connect the studio to a one bedroom villa. This type of studio is called a studio plus and is not guaranteed and cannot be requested. It's the luck of the draw.

We had one of these rooms in our one and only stay at BWV. Our son was about 5 or 6 at the time and we thought he might sleep on it. It was not to happen. He tried one night and before the lights went out in the room he was in the queen sized bed with me. This is about crib size and the pad is a thin pad and not really a mattress.

If you have a family of five, you'll need to get a one bedroom at least. But you still won't have beds for five people unless one can sleep in the pack and play.

I have a child who will be two by the time that trip would come up. It would be a perfect size for him. We are only a family of four, so the little one could sleep with his older brother. I just didn't wan't him to get used to sleeping with someone, nor do I want him keeping older ds awake at night.

We have a 1 bd. room for our next trip and I am not sure if a rented toddler bed would even fit in there once the sofa is open.

The daybed is so narrow that I would be afraid to have a 2 year old sleep on it. I would put something next to it for fear s/he would fall off.

You said your little "will be 2" when you go. Couldn't he sleep in the pack and play that's provided? Another option is to take the pad out of it and place it on the floor as a matress, with your own blanket on top. My youngest (age 6) still likes to do this when we travel DVC. There are also some kid sized inflatable travel beds you can buy at Target or WalMart to bring with you.

He climbed out of it once last week when we went. I can only imagine what tricks he will be performing in Oct.

I'm with the group that don't consider the bench a "daybed." Besides if your son crawled out of the pack and play, he's definitely going to just slide out of the bench.

How about one of those blow up beds?

I was wondering if he would sleep on that as well. There is one in OneStepAhead.com I've been checking out. DH is not thrilled to ship another thing down. Has anyone ever rented a toddler bed?
