During our recent stay at BWV in a Standard View villa, it occurred to me that I have been describing the typical SV view to people incorrectly. I have always said that the rooms have a view of the driveway, the pond or the parking lot or tennis courts.
While this has traditionally been true, there is one other view that is becoming more prominent at the BWV SV....trees! Of course, this is top of mind because that was what we saw from our balcony this last visit. Here are a couple of pictures to show what I am talking about as you look at the SV villas.
You can see that trees have really grown a lot in the 15 or so years this resort has been around. And some of the trees that are "see through" probably wouldn't be that way in the summer when the trees are leafier. There are still many rooms with "unobstructed" views, but I'd say that at least 30-40% of them have tree as the primary view, especially along the side facing the driveway.
The southern wing of SV rooms are still pretty much open (no trees):
It's not a problem to me (after all, I love VWL which has almost all trees for room views). But I know that some people enjoy seeing the Illuminations fireworks or just the nice landscaping, bridge and pond. In the future, I will have to add "trees" to answer the common question of "What views do BWV SV rooms have?".
Like I said...not a complaint, just an observation.
