BWV Rooms & Views -- What to Do?

OK. I apologize if I haven't been paying enought attention lately, but.....

Where do we want to be in August at BWV. We've got a 2-bdrm unit, and would like to be away from any "construction" views. Also, how dug up is the Luna Park Pool area likely to be.

I don't know, but I wouldn't agonize over it too much... I've never gotten the view I requested at bwv, and we've made several trips> Good luck, though!

I just returned from BWV on June 16th and the entire 3/4 of the back units over looking the pool had something going on with it. It was shrou and scaffolding all around. It didn't seem like those units were occupied.

I'm sure it will be all worth it in the end but right now it was not pretty

Well now. THAT doesn't sound too encouraging, Ed.

All the work at the quiet pool area is done and it is currently the nicest looking area of the site outside. About half the Luna Park rooms have scaffolding (and they put a mesh covering over the scaffolding). It has no real impact on the pool area itself except you can see it. Standard views and canal views are being prepared for later work (they took the awnings off outside) but no real work going on with those yet. Boardwalk view rooms are about half done outside--area from center courtyard up to Big River grill is finished. Scaffolding is over all the Big River Grill rooms; the rest of the rooms over the DVC sales center have been prepped for work (awnings removed, some scrapping) but are still in use; however your view there will be partly of the scaffolding over the Big River Grill. Likely Big River Grill area will be finished in next month and then they move on to the DVC Sales Center area. Note also that all rooms that have scaffolding over them are out of use when they do.

Any information on when all of the maintenance will be complete?

We have a 1 br standard view booked for early August. Will these rooms be worked on then? Or is work on the standard views slated for later than that? What happens if they overbooked standard views for dates when some of these rooms will be closed down?
