Hi all!

We check into BWV on rented points Sunday, Oct 28. I have not made ANY requests....wondering if I should. If I got a ground floor room...what are the pros/cons? I am thinking I would not like a ground floor...but maybe there is a good reason to get one? I have a standard view, so that might make a difference. If you have any ideas on what I *should* request, please share. Thanks for any input

My favorite standard views are upper floor, across from the bus stop. You get a greatview of the fireworks from Illuminations. You should first specify your smoking preference.

Make sure you get there on the right day. Next Sunday is the 29th.;)

If it was a ground floor preferred view room, that might be interesting because if you had kids with you, they could run in and out of the door to go to the pool. Those doors can't lock from the outside so someone would have to be inside or you would have to leave it unlocked.

Facing the entrance or the parking lot from the first fllor, which are the standard view rooms, doesn't do anything for me. As Debbie already said, the better views are from the upper floors. And remember, it's only a request.

We stayed in a ground floor room and it overlooked the parking lot . :p We also had a long walk to get to our room. We weren't impressed whatsoever. I would think that something up higher might as least give somewhat of a view.

We had one week in 4105 and 07 and another week in 1125 and 27 (both are standard views). We do like the upper levels when we're far enough from the entrance to see the fireworks for Illuminations. Our first room was great for that. We use the stairs to get down to the bus and the walkway to MGM - that usually saves us time. Of course, the down side of that is that when we return to the room from those places, we do the 4 flights of stairs.

The first floor room we had was facing the valet parking lot and pond (complete with water lilies and ducks). It wasn't a bad view, but we couldn't see Illuminations (more because of our angle than our level). After a week in the parks, it was nice to not have to do the stairs at all. We were right around the corner from the door that leads to the bus stop and the other door that leads to the quiet pool (how we got to the MGM walkway).

I only request non-smoking and don't worry about anything else most of the time.

LOL Cat! Yes, you are right...we check into BWV the 29th! We arrive at WDW the 28th but staying at POP as we will be doing PftS that night! :cool1:

Thanks for the replies. Last year we had 3rd floor, standard view all the way at the end of the hallway, which was by the stairwell I think you mentioned, Lora. Also, I think we had that view, which was not bad at all, if we looked to the right, we could see ToT all lit up!

Thanks all...I think I will request non smoking upper floor today.
