Hello all!!
I am currently staying in BWV, room 5026, for 4 nights and then moving to VWL on Wednesday. The 1br room is a non-lockoff and solitary. It is at the very end of a hallway and overlooks the Leaping Libations/Clown Pool. I would guesstimate a good quarter mile from the elevators. It sits directly over the kids area looking at the Clown's face. I thought the room was clean and well maintained until I noticed some sort of mold sitting in the air vents covers. It is black and can be scratched off with a finger nail. Mold is the only thing that comes to mind. And yes I did tell the front desk about it, but they haven't done anything about it yet. I also noticed a corner, as you come into the room, that was crushed on the lower part. Where, I would guess, gets a beating from luggage carts and strollers.
There isn't wireless access in the rooms yet as I thought I read on an earlier post. I didn't get word as to when this will happen to BWV.
The crowds on Sat at Epcot was light, Sun at MK was much heavier, and today at AK, I thought was medium. It is hard to tell for me since the paths are narrow.
In an earlier post, I mentioned a spot I found for viewing Epcot's fireworks. I didn't see any mention before and I didn't see anyone else there other than a security cart with a CM watching the fireworks. Oh yeah, the spot... from BWV take a walk towards MGM on the path. Where there is a sign for tennis courts/MGM (where the paths diverge from each other) stop about 20 yards from here. The view is great...
And finally no matter how much Disney thinks they are kid oriented, I just find little things that make it so much harder to stay in the resort with toddlers. I few things I would change is to have stoves with the knobs on the back. I know, maybe there is a liabilty because someone might burn themselves reaching over the cooking area. But to have a stove where the knobs are reachable to toddlers is irresponsible too. I would also change the TVs out where the buttons are on top of the tv as compared to the bottom. Pet peeve on this one probably since my 18mold likes to touch buttons turning things on and off... tv, vcr/dvd, oven light, room lights (yes those are lower than expected too). And finally, would it be so hard to get plastic bowls/cups in the rooms (maybe if requested). Those stonewear plates and glass cups are not kid friendly, if you know what I mean....
Ok, enough for now... I am still staying here, so if you have any questions...
Oh, one last thing, in the lobby, the cooks have put together a fair scene made completly of chocolate. Very impressive and hard to get my wife out of the lobby.
