bwv reservation question

I just booked 5 nights at Boardwalk. I requested a Boardwalk view. The person I spoke with said they could guarantee a Boardwalk view and it's the same points as the preferred view. Does this sound correct or is there something I'm missing?

According to our point sheets they offer standard and preferred views. I just assumed that some might luck out and get boardwalk view. However the person I spoke with acted as if she was guaranteeing a Boardwalk view.

Is this correct?

Its correct. They recently changed the policy and can guarantee a BW view if available. No point difference from preferred view - same as always.

That is something new that started a few months ago. For preferred points, you now reserve either preferred - boardwalk view or preferred - pool/garden view. That way you know up front what you are getting and there are no disappointments at check-in. Many people requested boardwalk view and few got it (only 11% of BW rooms), this way it's more fair who gets it. Truely first come/first served. You can also waitlist for it.

I knew it was a fairly small percentage of rooms that actually have a boardwalk view. That's what made me question whether the information I was getting was correct. Thanks again.
