BWV Rennovation Photos

I love the new hallway colors - so much more cheerful. Kids and me will be there for July 3 & 4 of our 2-week trip in a STANDARD studio. I would love to get one of the renovated rooms!!

It's been so long since we've stayed at Boardwalk - your pictures made me "home"sick. :) I had to call my dh over to the computer to show him the new carpeting and color schemes - I love them! And believe it or not - I love the carpeting in the hallway, especially the "swirl" hidden mickeys intersecting with hearts....very homey.
Thanks for taking the time to post the photos. Can't wait until our Thanksgiving trip.

We have a stay this Oct, I am so glad to see these pictures...It makes me want to go that much more. Thanks for posting. I am so glad they remodeling this beautiful resort!!!

Well, at least you won't fall asleep while you are walking down the endless corridors. Not a fan of that carpet. But, since we never stay at BWV, it really doesn't matter, no?

We just returned home from a week stay at the BoardWalk. Lot's of painting was being done on the exterior of the villas. It looks great. The scaffolding in the quiet pool area has been removed. There is a staging area behind valet parking that we could see people/workers, construction trucks, etc. coming and going throughout the day. There was one short hallway (prefered views) on the second floor that had the new color scheme. We never saw any workers in the hallways. Anyone we spoke to had an "old" room.

As a side note, our "old" room was in pretty good shape. No problems to report.

We're going home in October, and I'm really looking foward to seeing all the new painting, carpets, and other things. Thanks for the photos.

OMG, I am so Excited!:cool1: It looks great. we will be there in February. The hotel needed it bad. I can't wait to show the pictures to the rest of my family.
Happy Anniversary. We will be there for ours in February, along with 4 birthdays.

The interior of our "old" room was in pretty good shape when we were there in June. The outside awnings and porch definitely needed cleaning.

Glad to share!

Sounds like you are going to have quite the celebration in Februarypixiedust:

We did so enjoy our anniversary at WDW!

Over on the resort photos board, someone stayed in a refurb room at the BWI and her pictures show a sofa/daybed that will sleep one person in a 2 Q bed studio.

I've never stayed in just a studio room at BWV, do some have 2 Q beds that can hold a sofa in the room too? I have 2 teenage DSs that would rather not sleep together and this would be perfect!!

All BWV studios have one queen bed and one full sized sleep sofa. Some of the dedicated studios have what is called a "day bed" but it is really more like a deep bench with a cushion. These day bed rooms can not be guaranteed. And there is no way that the day bed is even close to the size a teen would need to sleep.

That "day bed" is about the size of a crib mattress only not as thick.

Everything is sounding so great...can't wait to go next July! It will be our first trip home. I definitely feel like we bought at BWV at just the right time, perfect timing for our first trip home...feels like they are rolling out the red carpet! Hey, I can dream, can't I? It's all part of the magic. ;)

The pic of the room I am referring to has a full size green sofa and the gal that took the pics (I'm not sure how old she is) is sleeping on it. It will definately sleep an adult. Maybe the dedicated studio rooms will get them. Here it is:

I talked to MS about my upcoming trip August 1st to check to make sure I requested a high floor Boardwalk View. The CM said "yes I see thats however there is a note here that the top two floor will be closed due to renovations"!

Bummer was hoping that I might get lucky!;)

Thanks for sharing such great pictures. It really does make you homesick especially seeing everything sparkling new, and we won't be returning until January. I hope I can hold out that long.
