Is this the section beginning near the elevators with the standard view rooms on the left as you proceed down the hall? Just trying to figure out in what order the rooms are being done. There was an earlier report of work being done on 1st floor rooms at the end of the proverbial long hallway.

Yes Pete ... it was the first 28 rooms near the elevators with the Standard View on the left and Pool/Garden on the right.

The first set of new rooms were released yesterday morning ... so depending on what view you have you may luck out!
Glad to hear we'll be rid of the old stoves. We always seemed to get one with a couple of bent heating elements. Used to drive me crazy trying to get them to stay down.
I will miss the picket fence in the hallways. I don't like the new wallpaper at all. I do like the whimsical lamps though.

I agree on the stoves. They are so hard to keep clean as well since stuff would drop under the elements and then burn off

My understanding from the CMs I spoke with is that those BWV rooms should be done by December.

I know some of these changes haven't been very popular with BWV fans, but I think the changes look great! It seems much more in keeping with the rest of the resort now and more "themed."
We grew up going to the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City. Honestly neither the before or after reminded us of what we saw.
I really like the new carpet. I suspect the wall paper will grow on me.
Is the wallpaper in the studio bath (non HA) being changed out?
No wallpaper ... fresh paint.
Ohhh I love it! Hopefully DH and I can get a reno'd room when we go late August!

Love it all, but will miss the hallway carpet....loved the "sandy footprint" you could see in the old pattern. Did you notice any Hidden Mickey's in the new carpet?
Yes on the HMs. If you look closely at the photo I took of the carpet you can see the HMs. They are upside down in the pattern.

Thanks so much for the pictures. I have been waiting anxiously for someone to post about the changes at the Boardwalk. Do you know if the new appliances in the kitchen will be stainless steel or white?
They are white. They kept the counters, cabinets and wall tile all the same so stainless just wouldn't have looked right.
