BWV refurb is in full swing.

This aligns with what I'm reading on the internet. For the past 2 years it has been a wild ride getting reservations at BWV at the 11 month mark. I've been assuming it was because of the refurbishment as they would take rooms out of service.
We are planning a trip for Sept 2025 and I'm hoping for a better reservation experience. Just wondering if y'all think things will still be crazy or if we might actually snag that 2 bedroom standard view.
Prime booking time starts then so be prepared.

I am going to be in a similar boat, I’m going to be trying for 2 studios in October. Probably a long shot, & I won’t have enough points for a 2bdrm, so we’ll see.

Although I was only booking a 1-bedroom each time, I was surprised how easy it was to get all my bookings this year at Boardwalk - June, September, and December all booked in February and no problem getting all pool/garden view 1-bedrooms each time. I thought with all the construction it would be difficult, but wasn't. Studios of course are always harder to book though...as are standard views. With all the refurbs complete, that should help a little bit, but I'd still start right away at the 11 month window (if it's your home resort of course) for standard views and studios.

We'll be in a Standard Studio the end of Sept. Looking forward to the refurb and enjoying a non-functioning Cake Shop and Corn Dog Stand. At least it's an easy walk for some Fish & Chips, and we have the Flying Fish to look forward to.

Hi there! DH and I have never stayed at BWV and we are scheduled to check in on 10/27. We will be in a garden/pool view 1 bedroom. Are the refurbishments finished for this booking category? I see above that the standard view refurbs are finished, so I wasn't sure about the garden/pool category.

I'm also wondering about the coffee pot situation? Will our villa have the Keurig combo coffee pot and single? If so, how does that work? If we want to make a pot of coffee do we still use Keurig pods, or does it require ground coffee and filters?

Thanks so much!

Yes, the P/G rooms are finished. Yes, you will have a combo coffee pot and you will be supplied with K-pods for the single cup and also filter bags of coffee for full pots. If you need more, just ask housekeeping.
Hope you love your BWV stay. It is my favorite resort.

The dual coffee maker has one side for K cups, and one side for the basket where you put the ground coffee. The machines come with a reusable metal basket so theoretically you shouldn't need to bring filters - but I still do as I don't like to take the chance someone hasn't damaged or stolen the reusable basket - they are the standard flat-bottom small type filters (not cone style). I bring my own coffee mostly because I like fresh-ground beans, but they do supply ground coffee bags if needed.

The water reservoir gets filled and feeds both the k-cup and pot brew sides - you choose with the buttons on top which one you want to use. Because the pot-side only has choices to make 6, 8, or 10 cups, if you wanted to brew a smaller pot of 2-4 cups, I'd advise just filling the reservoir with the amount of water you need, and choosing the 6-cup option - it will just brew until it runs out of water, so you can make less than 6 cups.

The k-cup single-serve side has no heating element, while the pot side does have a heating burner pad to keep the coffee in the carafe hot.

Do you mind if I link to this description over on the Ultimate Coffee Maker Thread? Or could you post it there too? Thanks!

checked in 2 days ago. Don't mind what they did inside the room, EXCEPT, we have a 1 BR and they took out the sink in the bathroom with the toilet and shower. Why? With 4 people in the room, the second sink was very convenient.

We stayed at BWV this year post-refurb in a 1BR and definitely had a sink in that bathroom. What’s there in yours instead?

We just stayed there in a 1 BR as well. 1 Bathroom had a sink, toilet, and shower, the other a sink and a bathtub

Reactions: ehh
We stayed in a standard 1 bed the week of Labor Day and it also had a sink next to the toilet.

I wonder if it was an accessible room and didn’t have space for the sink🤷‍♀️

I just looked at a room tour of an accessible 1 bedroom, there was definitely a sink in the room with the toilet. I wonder if they are in the elusive x123 line? 🤨
