Arrived today at BWV. Scaffolding still confined to only one of the boardwalk view buildings. There is also scaffolding on one of the Boardwalk Inn buildings though, the one nearest the conference center.

Looked for this info, but couldn't find it. Can someone confirm if there is a Murphy bed in the 1-bedrooms? Does it differ between the lock-offs and the dedicated units? Thank you for your help!

All one bedrooms at BWV have Murphy beds. There were a few BW view rooms that missed getting them during refurbishment because of a backorder issue, but it has been reported here that issue has been resolved.

We were at BWV last week and noticed that the old chairs were still at many of the SV balconies. If you enlarge this photo, you will see where the “new” chairs end. I assume the villas with the old chairs are still not refurbished.

We were in a 1BR dedicated with BW view on the 2nd floor. Really loved the refurb. One thing we didn’t care for was the mattresses are pretty firm. We had housekeeping bring their foam to help. The label says pillow top but they have very little give.
The shower is still wonky…but they have always been. HUGE shower head that did not bend down into the small stall (but they added the hand-held unit which helps).
Nice tall commode at “comfort height” for those that wonder. Loved the new sinks and counters all thru the villa.

At BWV for a week. Construction update: on the Villas side the farthest wing (near tennis courts) is closed off on all floors, windows blocked out, lifts outside. That is the only area with work. I am in a 1BR floor 2 overlooking the quiet pool. My fridge is so new I had to take tape off the drawers.

On the Inn side the rooms overlooking the carport are scaffolded and some are under construction while others look done and occupied.

My waitlist for next week at BWV didn't come through (shocking), but it looks like it may be a good thing considering all the disruption at the boardwalk. SSR will be fine for us. Good news is we will be at BWV Std Studio in Sept and Nov. Most is not all of the refurb should be done as well as boardwalk changes.

I'm getting excited and a bit nervous about our trip in early July. We are in the pool view rooms (two 2BRs for our family and friends we are brining along). Are they still moving people from BWV to other resorts or are they almost done? Its going to be our first stay at BWV (fairly new DVC members here) and we hope it goes well.
