If you have a standard view room - you got very lucky - these are the best deals at Disney (IMHO). Low points for a great location. You'll overlook the drive - but there is a lot of distance between the hotel and the drive for most of the rooms.
High floor further down tend to have better views and less noise - often views are blocked by trees, but if you get lucky, you may see some Illuminations fireworks from a high floor at the end standard view room. HOWEVER, they are the least convenient - especially if you can't take stairs (bad knees, strollers, out of shape, little kids). Low floor and closer to the lobby tends to be much more convenient (the pool is off level 1, the lobby is off level 2 - so you have stairs or elevators at this resort pretty much all the time - and the only elevators are off the lobby.) For kids about to grow gills - first floor halfway down is right across the hall from the doors to the pools. Not a great view - but when my kids were at that age, it was the best room ever.
Walk to Epcot is five minutes or so - its farther to the Studios.
Pool - the theme pool has one of the best slides (unless you have a clown phobia) - no zero entry. There is also a community pool (no zero entry) and a really nice and usually very quiet pool over on the hotel side.
Best restaurant - Flying Fish. But it might not be what you want to do with kids.
Boardwalk view rooms can be noisy - standard view rooms near the lobby get arrival/departure and luggage noise, but no Boardwalk noise. Preferred View rooms tend to be quieter in general. The whole Boardwalk is noisier though - you can hear Epcot fireworks. There is a lot of bustle. Kids run down the interior hallways with excited voices (and their parents calling after them "be quiet - babies are napping!" - hey, they are trying

)
